I believe the review board avoids them due to it putting providers down (intentionally or not)

& those TOP SP posts do make it ‘competitive’ with the providers by “rating” us in comparison to others in an industry that has enough challenges/struggles without making it appear us women are against/at each other on any level.

Okay. Great point. That wasn’t my intent. In hind sight I could have easily titled it as “Recent 3” or “Any 3” for that matter.

I was observing a dearth of recommendations given the departure of many of our mainstays and many new ladies and my intent was to only stimulate positive information sharing.

    I take your point.

  2. I recently started a thread titled “Who are your current Top 3” hoping we could generate some new recommendations given the turnover recently and a lot of new SPs.

I think that thread was deleted by the moderators - not sure why.  I thought that would have been okay in the “Discussion” section.

  3. Thanks to this community, this is what I’ve determined. There might be some beef between this provide and another provider I follow.

My unfollowing her might have been misconstrued as taking a side in the beef - it was not. And it’s possible she blocked me based on that assumption.

All good. I don’t feel strongly about following her so I’m letting this end.

Given the challenging environment these ladies conduct business, I’m careful to always be respectful so was checking to see if I had inadvertently offended her.

    Thanks community members.

  4. I recently stopped following one of our city’s more reputable, seasoned providers on Twitter.  After a couple of days I regretted this and went to start following her again but learned she had blocked me from following.

To the best of my recollection, we’ve never interacted - I only followed her posts and I don’t post or reply on Twitter.

Wondering if I broke some unwritten rule here.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks for the report @SarahAlexxx.

Everyone please be careful when mentioning locations - safety is the #1 priority here

This is why I love a community like this. The more WE can do to protect these women, the more likely we are that the stigma will improve and that the laws progress.

I am fully aligned with your feelings.  Unfortunately with life now booking with a great SP is often last minute and not always successful; understandably.

The "member club business model" has baffled me.  I assume you mean like CMJ in Ottawa ?  Can you shed some light on how these work ?  Feel free to PM.

In a membership model you pay a regular fee for the privelege of having access to view and book appointments then adhoc there after.

What I really appreciated about that model was the upscaleness and professionalism of those places. Equal parts massage parlour and gentleman's lounge.

I imagine when you have a more predictable revenue structure through membership fees you can invest in the venue more, take care of your ladies better, attract better talent, which attracts better clients.

Massage parlors intrigue me.  I don't have much experience in them at all.  But I do like the sounds of them.  Halifax needs a couple!

I couldn't agree more. I lived in Ontario for several years and miss their massage parlours. It's different then seeing a SP but addresses a market.

I'm often not able to book as far in advance as a good SP needs to effectively manage her schedule which I respect. So a well respected massage parlour gives you a certain level of confidence when you "walk in".

I especially liked the member club business model.

  8. Hi folks.  This is a request for recommendations. My observation is that we've recently lost several well reviewed ladies.  We have some really well established ladies left but the are often not available.  Leaving us with some unqualified ads.

If you've recently had a good experience with a lady who may not be well known reviewed, please consider sharing a recommendation.

I'll try to do the same.

We need an Asian massage parlor like they have... well pretty much everywhere in North America. The demand seems to exist. Lily doesn't seem interested in expanding.

We definitely need a massage parlor... it needn’t be an Asian massage parlor in my mind. Just a massage parlor, lounge, private members club, spa like those that are advertised up and down this site.

  10. We must have a few ladies who provide massage services... don’t we?  If you have a recommendation please share.

I’ve been trying to do my homework and I came up with:

    - Lily https://www.kijiji.ca/v-health-beauty/city-of-halifax/professional-massage-in-central-halifax/1436412830?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

    - Rachel (can’t find a link, don’t know if she’s still active)

    - Dirty Blond Steph (on hiatus)

Am I missing other ladies that are in the massage business?  My wants are simply a proper massage table and options to end.
