I think this is who you're referring to:

http://ottawa.backpage.ca/FemaleEscorts/shawna-sexy-hot-ebony-available-now-613-899-3368/98415402

The pictures in the ad aren't hers but they're close to what she looks like. She's petit, clean, great location, and awesome service..... seriously cute little lady. I would repeat weekly if I wasn't so broke!

I've seen Shawna a while ago (6 months at least)... she's the real deal - when I saw her, she had me go across the street to vet me, then gave me the real address.. Place smelt of the reefer but she was real. Not sure if it was this number

Pics from a smartphone are free and produce fairly high quality pictures, enough for someone who doesn't charge high rates or doesn't want to cover the cost of a photo shoot. At least the pics would be hers, that's what really matters! I know SPs who do this and it's not too difficult to remove tattoos and not show your face. Just my 2 cents.

Again, why would they make the effort to cheap and unretainable clients? This seems to touch a nerve with you, I suspect you're a discount Dan expecting more for less...

If some ladies are so inclined so be it, most don't see the effort being returned, they still charge the same and get it. It's not like if they spend 40 mins doing that they can increase their prices, and Discount Dans wouldn't pay it if they asked. They get the same results either way. These women aren't dumb, they know what they are charging is often far less than what they could and deserve to charge, very beautiful and intelligent and could command much more if they so desired. They have their own reasons for charging so low, and they realize how much effort is worth putting into their business promotion justify these low rates, the answer is minimal. They don't screen and are "AVAILABLE NOW". They aren't necessarily seeking quality, long-term clients, they're seeking high volume to earn large amounts quickly. Cutting corners isn't really a big concern, as their clients aren't seeking quality either, their seeking the best bang for their buck, looks hot and offers fast and cheap service options, that's why I'd say 99% of this client base books 15-30 mins, from what I've observed and heard. To them, it's not the biggest concern to be accurate and authentic, it is to get bookings. These ladies aren't so concerned with chemistry and longer appt and building a clientele because they are not connection based providers. It's a very interesting business model that I have respect for, it simply doesn't meah with my personality, I put in 100% into EVERYTHING I DO so I expect to have my energy reciprocated, so that model simply doesn't work for me, I'm not a minimalist by any means, and these ladies are.

Trust me, I've talked to enough ladies that use my spaces and that's always their answer after I've asked the reasons why, having always used my own pics. They usually say " When I'm able to/want to charge what you do, then I'll invest". I can't argue that because as I've stated; if I got paid as little as they do for my sexuality and time, I wouldn't invest 375$ on a photoshoot either, or 40 mins to an hour of my time editing pics when I could be seeing a client ( or in thier case, 2-3) in that time and actually getting paid...What's the point when stolen pics gets me the same results and takes 5 mins, and my main goal is to get them through the door so I can move on to the next? Remember, in that particular area of the trade, the name of the game is high volume, see as many as you can....

That in mind, I'm failing to see what is the benefit to this type of business model provider in investing in time or money into real pics? She can't increase her rates and she still gets tons of bookings, so again what is the point of doing all that? YOUR TYPE OF CLIENT ISN'T WORTH THE INVESTMENT, THERE'S NO RETURN ON IT. it's not a long term business model.

I don't service that market, therefore, it's none really of my concern, it's not my model. MY job is to care for MY clients and cater to their needs. My clients invest in me so I invest in them. It's called synergy. Truth be told, how other ladies run their business, as a members so eloquently state on thread after thread when we providers express discomfort about ANYTHING, are none of my or other ladies concerns, yet I find it interesting that now it affects your perceived entitlement to real pictures all of a sudden I'm expected to clarify and justify another providers business practices ? You can't have your cake and eat it too darlin'....

Like everything else, you get what you pay for, re-read my last post if this concept is to difficult to grasp... Want real pics then see someone who does all that ( lots of us on here ) just expect to pay rates that justify that expense of time, money and effort. If you want to stay low end, then it's buyer beware, plain and simple, and have realistic expectations for the price you paid. At the end of the day you're the consumer it's your choice what type of clientele you want to be, but if you're only prepared to spend minimally, then what you get will reflect that... Remember, you reap what you sew...

With all due respect, please don't presume anything about me in order to attempt to gain the upper hand. I'm not the type that looks for deals or ever attempts to negotiate on rates.

Does the topic of stolen pics touch a nerve? Yes, ads that use stolen pics touches a nerve with me. I consider it false advertising. I understand she is an acquaintance of yours and you are defending/standing up for her. This is very admirable of you, a sign of someone who cares and makes you a good friend to have. In the future, please refrain from personal attacks/slander type statements. You should be above/better than this.

Cheers,

You worked with her but you can't confirm if the pictures in her ad are really hers or stolen off the net?

Here's her ad:

Real pictures can be taken faster then searching for fake ones. Don't include the face in the shot and cover the tattoos with clothing, done in 1 minute! There also exist many other type of clients than "Dan" and your clients. There's a continuous spectrum of type of clients not a discrete amount of 2 types.

I apologize if you feel I am attacking you ... as from your response in justifying your expenses I can tell I've upset you...clearly I must have touched a nerve...my sincerest apologies...

I stated in my first post I cannot confirm or deny her pics, I've never seen her ad as I don't cruise back page so no I'm not defending her, just ladies who use this practice in general. I'm not going to condemn my fellow workers because they do something I don't...I will reiterate my point a third time since you missed it the first two times. You are not entitled to real pics, nowhere is it written in law that a lady has to use her real pics. If that's your major concern, see ladies with a more detailed business model, social media presence, reviews and verifiable reputations. As the consumer that is your choice. However, at that minimal price range the expectation of real pics is unreasonable for the money and time vs return on investment. Judging from the popularity of use the Instagram model method, many of those providers who practice said model undoubtedly agree.

It isn't Luxe's place to confirm or deny the legitimacy of those photos. If you want to know, go see Shauna. Everything Luxe has said here, I agree with. These ladies know their business model and client base. Often they make far more than we "reputable" providers do so I can't fault them for being comfortable with their choices.

I think it should be a personal choice and they shouldn't be judged. I know I don't live their lives, walk in their shoes or understand their situations and if not using their own pictures makes their lives more manageable then all the more power to them. This industry is a struggle for most and anything that helps it be more manageable should be a non issue. No one should be forced to release their image in this online smegma given the potential harm it could cause. I would actually prefer to return to the days of no pictures, where clients made their decisions based on a phone conversation...

One of the legislative changes I'd like to see is the elimination of photos from Canadian advertising venues entirely. Photos can then be limited to a providers personal website where she can choose to protect them in a private area that requires screening before access is granted . Photos are used against us in everything from custody battles to border crossings. It's illegal for a sex worker to cross into the US even for a holiday and they are now employing facial/tattoo/scar recognition to data base us. It's a 10 year ban if you're caught trying to cross the border, with no opportunity for defence. As soon as there is corroborative evidence that a woman is a sex worker, CAS is immediately involved in custody cases and they stay involved adding more insult to injury. Square jobs are lost, families split and social shunning ensues. Pictures are most often the initial culprit. Once an adversary knows for sure those pictures are real; it doesn't take them long to track all of a providers online interactions and everything gathered can and will be used against her.

I believe the industry demand that developed from the online marketplace has continually eroded both the privacy and service safety of the industry providers while simultaneously driving prices down. This has become the standard and providers have been desensitized to their detriment and we are dying on the cross for it in our personal lives. The only upside when a provider is outed is that it's inadvertently bringing attention to the industry on a very personal level to many who were previously oblivious to it. I've never seen the number of providers being outed to their loved ones at the rate I see today. What it means is that those families who actually do the work of healing will have more inclusive belief systems and a better understanding of the industry which hopefully will help shape tomorrows generations to be more tolerant. The ones that don't do the work live with nuclear fallout, sometimes indefinitely. My parents haven't spoken to me in over 15 years.

The only thing photos have contributed to is clients getting an idea of what we may look like but real photos can be just as misleading. With enough money and expertise, I can look like anyone I want to who has a similar body type. What matters are the facts. Is she the size/shape she claimed, did she provide the services she promised for the price agreed to and was the appointment safe both in services and setting? Eliminating photos from the industry would actually implement a market correction that would benefit everyone. Then that's all that needs be promised and delivered. Today providers are forced to put themselves in compromising positions with privacy/discretion for an income that is often not worth the risk. 20 years ago the take home was substantially more and I felt it justified the risk; I contend that today for new providers it isn't. I'm now beyond the risk, I can't be outed because I am out to everyone but my life is an example of what happens when the news hits and should be a warning to all; providers and clients alike. I had 1 photo that was submitted to court, 1 solitary photo that didn't show my face but was inarguably me and the rest is history. Keeping it discreet and untraceable is key...

I don't have a problem with not using real pictures, I only do it because I was forced to back when I landed in Canada. If someone isn't comfortable using their own pictures that is their choice. Being forced to use my own pictures is one of the reasons I haven't participated in advertising as actively in the industry over the last decade. It has been an immense struggle for me that makes me sick to my stomach, literally. I spend days not being able to keep anything down or even digest tea when I advertise. I'm working on it but it's not easy. If you want real pictures, then see providers who actually care about their business and invest in it. Make the investment in her, support the businesses that deserve it.

Without question, we need better industry standards to protect all involved. I think if the demand for real photos is made, it should be partnered with mandatory minimum pricing. No provider should have to work for anything less than $200. If we can agree on a minimum pricing with no haggling then perhaps we could agree on other business practices like only using real pictures?

You don't have to cruise Backpage, Luxe. Bobbi provided three separate links to Shawna's ads. All you have to do is click on one.

In any case, your diligent refusal to answer the question has probably given most readers all the answers they need.

Additional Comments:

I think it should be a personal choice and they shouldn't be judged. I know I don't live their lives, walk in their shoes or understand their situations and if not using their own pictures makes their lives more manageable then all the more power to them.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm inclined to agree with WhereIRoam: pics of someone else are false advertising. Personally, I'd rather have no pics at all. Still, the industry is rife with stolen images, so I can only assume that it isn't a deal-breaker for everyone :)

Ultimately it's up to every client to decide what they care about, and every provider to decide what information they want to put out there. I don't see that knowing someone's pics aren't of them is a bad thing if it helps the people who care about this make well-informed decisions.

I can't believe she's still posting with the same number and same stolen Instagram pictures for 2 years!! I also know 2 guys that booked "that ad" and ended up seeing a DIFFERENT faker that I saw! We exchanged physical descriptions. This has to be the purest faker in Ottawa's escort history lol!
