Providers, in regards to being Verified on LeoList.

Recommended Posts

Maybe they are comfortable with it.

If they are, then of course all the power to them.

You just had two ladies say right here that they were not.

How many more do you think are doing these things when they don't want to and are just remaining silent out of fear? Is that really what we want for the industry? Is that really want we want to promote?

I know I know don't

I appreciate your take on this issue! I feel pressured at times, just to verify myself. However, I'm equally scared that holding that sign could cause major repercussions. I have been naive in the past, but the sign was for verification purposes only. They didn't make you post them. Lol..

My main concern is that we pay in American dollars to advertise, So it makes me extremely uneasy, especially since Its imperative I leave the Country. Still in limbo with the verification process... Thanks for everyone's imput!

You know I respect you Jessica, I've said it to you before.

I'm glad we have this respect/agree/disagree thing going on with never stooping down to personal attacks.

I agree with you there! It is a breath of fresh air and a welcome change from most of the people I debate with. I love disagreeing with good peeps. Makes for great debate and discussion.

Hey wait, does this mean we are setting a "good" example? You know I can't let that hurt my big bad bitch rep. LOL

In the end, at the risk of sounding crass, it all comes down to marketing. I've seen ads in which ladies show their face, I like them but don't recommend it for security, and some don't. Some ladies obscure their tats for security, others don't. Some have personal websites, others use sites like Lyla.

I agree it is up to the guys to do their research, but in the case of new providers there may not be much info to go on and we don't have the resources of Homeland Security. So those ladies may want to look at providing verified pictures until they are established. Again, various ways to market oneself. And by the way, there appears to be a way to have your professional pictures verified so you don't have to hold a cheesy sign or feel you have thrown away the money spent on the pro pictures.

The analogy was used of guys doing extensive research for major purchases. This is true, but a big part of that research is what the company provides in the way of information about itself and do we feel we can trust what is said. As stated by others, many of the ladies already provide a lot of information or there are reviews, etc, that the gentlemen can research and that should be sufficient.

As I said before, Lyla will remain my primary source to meet you lovely ladies.

All other comments are just observations/opinions of a consumer.

Regardless, the bottom line is that the ladies should never do anything, or feel forced to do anything, they aren't comfortable with or may endanger them.

...

If all these men stopped seeing these "b&s" (hmm?) providers and solely visited established professionals, I very much doubt there would be enough to go around. We also need to consider that this isn't often a long term career, established providers tend toward an early retirement, further reducing availability of local providers.

...

Again it really is up to you to figure things out, and I'm not going to pretend that you don't deal with your fair share of "the stupid and insipid" with unrealistic expectations of you, but the market for verified providers isn't going away, any more than the market for potentially unsafe services is going away. We can allow ourselves to be frustrated that our chosen profession doesn't offer a market full of perfectly polite and generous clients, with only our safety and well being in mind, or we can accept the reality that we are going to be faced with choices that may be unpleasant.

Can I ask: are you a client or a provider?

I have been harassed to do verification photos by men - and guess what, it made NO difference in bookings. That is time I will NOT get back. And they still want more and more photos...

I wish clients would rather do their research via reviews and recommendations... also verification photos can be easily faked or traded.

I have on 2 occasions emailed leolist about the spammers (most likey scammers?); but have yet got a satisfying reply. "They paid their money so we can do nothing about it"

Who needs to post 8-10x day in 1 city/category

IMO....I believe w all the spamming/scamming its only going to bring authorities in again

As well; leolist said themselves in a reply that they jacked the prices because of these ads....they are confident it well deter them to stop posting or posting as much

Scammers were paying 5$ to 7$ an ad a day on BP, why they would go away when the ad cost only 3$? I really doubt it will happen.

I read that some have written emails to Leolist and never got a reply from them. I did the same to change my login email, they never replied and there's no way to change your contact information (login). It is a basic function on a website and they don't bother helping you. As someone said earlier « If anything, they are the ones who must prove themselves to me, not the other way around. » And for also other reasons, they didn't prove themselves to me yet. So I am not ready to invest time and money with them.

My 2 cents based on my personal feelings. First of all, when BP went down, my phone blew up. I even wished at one point I could clone myself. Getting new pics, holding a sign up with their website on it means I need someone to take the actual pictures. So, being the lazy advertiser I am, I put it off till things quieted down for me.

There is a benefit for providers to get verified. Discounts on ads rates, standing out from others and option to post more pictures.

However, being verified on lyla to me is more significant as it's more then just holding up a sign. So, if guys would continue seeking out lyla providers, let non lyla providers know of this site, it will eventually work itself out.

Leolist is slowly raising their rates, so at some point the scammers and frauds will have no choice but to go away. If everyone reported the fraudulent posters to leolist, it would stop alot of it.

A couple times I have emailed and made complaints to Leolist. The response I got was that the spammers have paid their money so nothing they can do

former bp users, if you ask me. most spammers don't even look at their ad placement, they put up new ads instead of using a bump feature, which simply top posts one ad, instead they post repeatedly, and when you look at a city section or service section's older ads, their 12 ads all on the last page back to back, it's crazy, and infuriating when posters can't just use the available features of any site to help themselves stand out.

i know in the past when someone was clearly calling around looking for someone, that they should make sure that the person they go see has advertised over a period of time and on multiple sites. at that time that was possible, because you had the paper, the CL, the BP, and local ad sites, along with places like lyla and whatever else out there, and a full time provider is using them all. now we've been slowly corralled into a couple of sites and that becomes impossible.

and for pics, it is possible to do stylish photos, with a minimum of effort such as this one https://www.leolist.cc/personals/dom-fetish/metro-vancouver/burnaby_newwest_irene_adller_dominatrix_and_fantasy_wrestler-3577522

i get that people don't want the process, or the signage, lol, however people are also asking about verification, & people are asking how can they stand out from the picture B&S ads, & how can their ads get attention above the spammers. Having the checkmark is the solution to that, and one of if not the only sites out there that has provided this feature for many years. it is also a way for those sps who do not have or want websites, or whose websites got shut down due to fosta/sesta recently to put a little credibility into their advertising. and there are guys who want the person in the photo, they can tell the difference between those photos verified and those not, so when the sp doesn't look like the unverified pictures, they can't feign surprise i hope lol. there is an assumption that verification, for those who are under 20, or asian, means that isn't a trafficked victim of sex slavery or under 18 person, not sure why that is supposed to confirm that, but let's face it most asian sps are consenting adults, with or without verified photos

Well I decided to give leo list verification a try. I thought it would help me stand out from the spammers/scammers and also the ad rates are slightly better. Just as well since my responses have decreased since using the verified option. Indeed they are not the most flattering images and when you choose to post as verified Leo List shows those photos first when someone clicks on your ad. I am so frustrated. Really just thinking of ditching this selfie and verification crap and going back to my mature attractive and professional business model. Surely the link to my website in my ad proves I am real. I don't know many fakes who invest hours in creating personalized websites.

ps. the verification process for pics is horrendous .. I had to re submit my pics 3 times with new pics because I didn't do enough "different poses"  (yes, they ask for 5 different poses and pics) , sign wasn't large enough, too much boob showing ... etc etc. So if the ladies look frustrated and cross in the verified pics .....

The duh moment .. I took a couple of sexy pics last night and it occurred to me later that I should have held the leo list sign to try and get something nicer up. Or maybe not.

I agree that there must be a more professional and discreet way for Leo List to verify. I am beginning to wonder if pretty women holding up Leo List signs does more to promote them than us.

Whatever happened to Escorts Canada? (The paid advertising site that is/was owned by the same company as Cerb/Lyla)
.. it use to be super popular and compared with the prices of these classifieds sites, it's overly affordable, nice looking, no fakes, etc.
Do people just not use it anymore?

Here is the link for Escorts Canada

You can also find a link to it if you go to the Ontario page of Lyla. It is located at the very bottom of the page and is highlighted with a red arrow.

That sucks. However thank you sharing.

I was seriously looking into it since I was against it so hard. I wanted to make sure I wasn't ignorantly knocking something.

I contacted LL and asked about different options, asked about signage size and placement. They would not budge at all on their preset policies and I could tell it was as I predicted.

They did get back to me right away and were very polite and professional. I have no issues with that but I re-affirm that I will not be verifying.

I will spend the extra time and effort to market and brand myself professionally enough that I don't need to have verified pics. For the ladies that can't or don't want to, I get it but for me, it is just not something that will work.

But wait .. it gets even better. lol. So leolist has an area called the "registry" which list only verified providers . I guess to make it easier for potential clients. Once you have gotten your verified pics approved you can create your "registry profile" and submit it .

But much to my surprise when I went to do that today.. I discovered that you have to fill out a form a la meat market style.

Height, weight, breast size , body measurement etc.

If you don't fill out the questions you cannot post your verified profile in the registry of verified users.

I find that style of profile degrading and resent being forced to provide stats like I am on a block at auction.

I did want to list in the registry .. so for any of you who see me there ... no my measurements are not 11 x 11 x 11 ..

I did however have to put a real weight in as it would not accept 999 lbs as my way of saying f u  ! lol .

Utterly humiliating.

I just posted there ... there were only about 6  listings for Ottawa in the text ads. Makes me think that it mustn't get alot of hits of no one is posting there.

That's why I was asking.. Maybe different owners now? (Or just not the same traffic it use to get.)
It use to be super popular pre-C36/BP and they were always easy to deal with for payments/help/etc.

I don't know where everyone is going now except for leo list and here. I offer ma not sp and some sites don't have an adult massage section.

I am having a week straight out of twilight zone. I had been doing well with leo list but something has changed.

There seem to be a ton of scammy/spammy type ads and I guess it attracts a kind of sleezy clientele.

I have gotten more lewd inquiries and texting apps( which get no reply)  this week than in the whole last 3 months.

Where are all the nice genuine and sane gentlemen ???

I really wish they would clean up/class up that site.

ie. more discreet  verification (no hostage pics) There are other ways to verify such as board membership, social media, website etc.

. No non verified posts. No having to post stats like you are on the auction block.

In regards to verification. I am trying an experiment. I posted a non verified ad today. No "hostage pics". lol

Sigh. Maybe it's just bizarro week !

@Parker .... thank you for the suggestion luv. Hope your week is not as weird as mine !

It's month end. The bi-weekly pay cheques are due. That should explain the types of inquiries. 😉 So EVERYBODY has got money.

There is a long weekend coming...the nice genuine gents are planning for their long weekend at the cottage that will be coming up lol.

Rents are due. It's culminating at the end of the month and this month the long weekend and the payday are all wonky and don't line up.

It's just the time of the month hun. Don't give up hope 🙂
