Here’s the text conversation :

her:  I’m here but you have to come get me.

me:  why?  What’s the problem? Front desk won’t let you up?  That’s awkward.  Not really wanting to be identified like that.

her:  ok hun it’s ok I left.  No worries

me: ??? Very peculiar

thats is all I had to work with.  Nothing more.

If that is how it went then I think I see the problem. If you had stopped at 'why' it would have given her a chance to explain. (but you shouldn't have said 'why'. The correct response was 'I'll be down in a minute".) Instead you asked 'what's the problem' (sounds like it was something she did and it was put on her). Then the assumption that is was front desk (without even trying to find out what was happening. Then you state 'that's awkward' again putting it on her as though it's her problem and fault. The last you say you don't want to be seen with an escort (although no one had to know), HER, because you didn't want to be associated with her.

Very plainly, you dissed her, personally. And the professional side of her said "i don't need to be told twice".

Assumptions about how she/they/us should behave make an ass out of 'u', and me,... well I learned that lesson before and I'm not about to repeat it 😉

If you don't understand any of this, then it is hard to make you. It's about life, people, and being human. That's something that no one can help you with. You have to figure that stuff out for yourself. And take solace that you are not alone. There are many like you. Which is probably why she didn't argue with you or explain..she just left ...

Also, I feel the OP totally overthought everything. The lady’s not going to be walking in with a neon sign that says “I am an escort”, know what I mean? The key is to be (act) confident in your surroundings. I remember one time, I went to see a lady at a hotel and I happened to be a bit early. So what did I do? I sat in the lobby and read the newspaper! Lol. One of the front desk staff actually approached me and asked if I was ‘with the tour’. My response - ‘No’. Then I went back to reading the paper. Hahahaha... They don’t need to know why I’m there, and it’s none of their business, anyway. You get the respect you demand.

What exposes ladies are more the multiple visits to the same hotels than the way they dress and act. When the personnel notice a woman who does frequent in and out without ever checking in, doesn't take long to understand who and what she is. The level of tolerance depends on the establishments and how low key some escorts are. Ladies should know best if they can blend in or not.

I’ve always wondered how ladies manage to fly under the radar continuously as well. However, just recently I’ve found out that some Indy’s / agencies actually have an arrangement with the hotel itself. That is, the escort agrees to maintain discretion while conducting her business, and the hotel benefits from regular bookings. It’s a win win. I’ll admit I’ve heard about the LE initiative of visiting hotels, speaking with front desk staff and promoting their “See something? Say something!” campaign. However, in real terms it’s fairly evident that no one really cares about what consenting adults do in private. When LE mobilizes its resources, it’s usually to deal with genuine cases of human trafficking, or to deal with a nuisance, such as the street level arrests which occurred in Sydney.

In the 90's I once went to a Quebec city motel for an incall.  Was told to go to the reception, ask for a specific girl, pay the short stay rate, was given the room key and she knocked at the door less than a minute later. At the time it was apparently a way to go around the prostitution laws in regard to incalls. So, I'm not surprised some deals still exist between some establishment and providers. Things have changed in term of laws and I prefer discretion. Side doors work better for me.

Innkeepers and escorts have had a mutually beneficial business relationship since time immemorial, and the fact that part of it may have been/is illegal at various times and in various places is very little impediment to it continuing. As long as nobody is disturbed by overly loud shenanigans, who cares? (Apart from our self-appointed moral guardians, of course...)

This is it in a nutshell. I visit sp's in hotels all the time and there is no problems whatsoever. Lots of times, after our rendezvous, if the lady doesn't have other appointments booked or some such other commitment, I have taken her to dinner if she is okay with it. We walk together through the lobby and I would bet 99% of the staff knows her and why she is there. Actually, many ladies in this biz have a great working relationship with hotel staff. I have gone to hotels where the staff knows me also and walked by, waved hello and smiles back and forth and I'm pretty sure they can figure out why I'm there and I really don't care. Storm troopers aren't going to come and knock down the door. I think we all worry too much and it takes away from the fun. Just my 2 cents, tho.

Personally I don't see any problem with a meeting in a lobby but could see a problem in terms of confidentiality if a client is sitting around a hotel lobby in his home city... family, friends, co-worker and clients might come through and risk the confidentiality especially if it's at the very moment the beautiful lady meets you.

All that said I think a little effective communication could find a solution that would meet everyones needs.

My favourite hotel for meetings in St. John's is the Delta where you can get in the elevator in the parking garage and go directly to the rooms

Just my opinion
