Those type of questions, requests and negotiations were always there. The only difference is to see those outside of private conversations. When I started dealing with providers in the early 90's, everything was done by phone. No pictures, no private websites and no discussion boards. I learned the business rules and etiquettes from trial and error. And even that was often confusing as no two providers offer the same experience or operate the same way. Message boards like Lyla are a great source of information for someone who want to discover the business. And I understand the frustration when new members ask questions instead of seeking for answers in existing threads. But that's part of the learning curve and we all been there. As for "this is where review boards has brought us". Perfection doesn't exist. And with the free communication and exchange of information there always a few drawbacks. And if you think lyla is bad, you should read message boards that allow negative reviews. Many providers had their reputations destroyed because one or two individual who went overboard with their criticism or plainly lied to personally and financially hurt someone. Bad and misinformed questions/comments can be annoying but not hurtful if the authors can be educated. We should appreciate this type of forum is allowed to exist. There are no unicorns out there in the civilian world anymore; if you pick up a lady on Tinder or in a bar, the risks are the same these days. I would be careful with this kind of recommendation. I seen many providers from Montreal and Quebec city and seen both end the spectrum in term of providers and services. Quite often the mileage will vary with the chemistry, something not different from providers I seen in Gatineau, Ottawa and Kingston.
