Does anyone know if there is a hotel/motel that’s rents a room by the hour?

Dartmouth side, but I stumbled upon Lake City my first trip here. Didnt want the room, so they charged us by the hour. Not a great spot, but atleast I know it's only $50/hr.

You might try near the airport.  Sometimes hotels by an airport have a day rate. Don't know about Stanfield Airport, just a general suggestion, something you might want to check out

Season motel in Fairview is a little over $100 + hst in the off season for a night.  That my be expensive for the hour but, if your date is a hh late or you like to take a shower before and after it usually works out to $100/2 or 3 hours which isn't bad.

I've often wondered about that place.  Is it clean ?

Yes, its clean and has been overhauled by new owners.  It's still not the ritz but I have yet to have an issue.  One of 2 young asian guys are usually working the counter.  They don't ask any questions.  Clean, safe and functional...serves my needs well!
