    I highly doubt it. We're far from the 80's when porn and other forms of adult entertainment were only accessible behind dark windows, thick curtains and in plastic wrapped magazines. I still don't understand how some adult video stores can still be in business.

   With so many people not getting paid and loading their credit cards to make end meets, I seriously don't see how stripclubs could become a priority to anyone.

Don't worry, some folks have money hidden somewhere.  I know a few old guys that made money somewhat on the black market and never could deposit into a bank account so it is hidden in their house and right now can't spend it on anything because of the virus going around.  I may be wrong about this but it's a possibility !

   These kind of folks(assuming enough survive the current crisis) will likely have less than a decade of life or independence to visit those establishments. And as most places will likely need more than a year to clear the red from their books, very few will survive if nothing done to bring more Gen X and Millennials in those businesses.

     You can if you want. As I'm Gen X, I couldn't say what millennials want.

   I would normally recommend looking at the European model that's always been a decade ahead of us. And what I seen there(two decades ago), were hybrid businesses combining night club and brothels. Similar to the Sweet300 but smaller. But a lot changed since and Euro cities that used to thrive on those have cleaned up those downtown areas.

   I'm not saying a revival is impossible, but the current time may not be the best for this type of business.

As far as how clubs treat partrons from this point on, the days of dancers being aggressive and blowing off clients are over.   Unfortunately Nuden is one club that will seriously have to clean up their act when it comes to customer service.  I've had more dancers be snobby to me at Nuden than at any other club, must be the culture there.

I had a server at Nuden rip me off $ 20, I ordered a meal and paid her first without doing what I should have done first and that is ask her if she had change for my 20.  She said she would return with change, instead she returned with my food then pretended she forgot I had already given her a $ 20 bill.  Then she became argumentative.

And a subtle message to the female DJ at Nuden that might be reading this, you know who you are as do some of the people on here, soft sexy voice...

Stop rudely hanging up on people that phone in and ask if a dancer is working that day, if your policy is not to disclose dancer's schedules then fine let your dancers lose business, but you can tell callers that without rudely hanging up on them as you did to me.

After asking when a dancer was next on schedule, you said we don't give out schedules then slammed the phone down on me, and it wasn't just a polite click either, I heard a clank like the phone was slammed down.

Just for a simple question you treat people that way ?   Is that how you treat other callers ?

No wonder you lose business.

You know who you are, there's only one female DJ at Nuden who has been there a while, after this virus episode cleans up it's time for a serious attitude adjustment from you.

Every person who walks through that door could end up being a regular if treated the correct way, could also be extended to a phone call as impressions on the phone are important.

Obviously I'm a regular as I called cause I had seen this dancer before, how do you think that dancer would react if I told her how you blew me off.

Start appreciating your customers Nuden, shape up or ship out.

If we go back about 10 years ago which was the around the last time I stepped in at a SC(except for my son's bachelor party 5 years ago) some dancers that I got to dance for me gave me their own cel phone number so that I could call and find out when and where she worked.  I'm surprised you where never given that.  Just saying..

I have also called the Playmate and asked if a particular dancer was working and the coat check girl said if I wanted to know I should come down and find out for myself. I have found over the years that sometimes staff will take their lead from the owners. They see the owners making BS comments about a customer to get a laugh from the staff and it becomes infectious. I have witnessed this myself. Of course the other aspect of this is that it is easy to be rude over the phone because you are not face to face. As I said earlier the owners must not take this business for granted.

I want to add that as we come out of this and try to imagine how government will try to minimize crowding or interaction, I think they will look at occupancy permits and probably cut the number in half temporarily. You have an occupancy permit for a maximum 200 people, now it's only 100. This does nothing about distancing in the champagne rooms but it does limit the overall revenue potential for the clubs and for that matter all businesses.

Really, they could cut it by about 90% before it would even be noticed. That's at the 'Mate, maybe 50% at Pigale, but I despise that hole. As far as the rooms go, no idea what will happen there. I don't relish getting a dance in a hazmat suit. Though there have been times when I wish I had worn one.

This comment makes me laugh but oohh so true. If you look at the Playmate thread you will that the ownership recently reupholstered the champagne chairs and discovered a pile of used condoms stuffed behind the cushions. JEEEZZZZUSSS that makes me sick.

As for me, I’ve been studying the history of strip clubs and deconstructing business ethnics of the most successful American strip clubs for example wearing outfits that are more similar to the editorials instead of random stuff. Also shadowing successful dancers such as Joseline Hernandez from Magic City Atlanta. Not a literal coat of paint but metaphorical I guess lol

I actually disagree, because stripper poles have seen the biggest increase of sales in a decade lol. The x pole Canada website has completely sold out and the amazon pole prices have been marked up by at least 50% just in the last week. Many dancers seem to be taking advantage of the sales on heels and dance wear and makeup and hair since that stuff is taxable and using the opportunity to suit up for when the clubs do reopen. If anything there will likely be an influx of new dancers LOL I’ve had many civilian friends start asking about working in clubs now and some have even bought poles already!

Unfortunately those articles are outdated and not from the COVID-19 timeline. I cant find the exact article right now but https://www.google.ca/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/04/20/people-are-splurging-on-luxury-goods-during-the-coronavirus-pandemic/amp/ same concept but applicable to poles and other sex industry necessities. As for pole dancing as competitive sport my co-workers and I who have talked about it don’t really feel like it has a place in strip clubs. Kinda takes away from the fantasy aspect in our opinion since pole tricks are not necessary to work in strip clubs on a universal level.

Yes, however to stay on the topic it is opportunity for the clubs re:COVID-19 lol so competitive pole dancing isn’t part of the sex industry as far as I know and I’ve heard many competitive pole dancers prefer to not be grouped with strippers and strip clubs so it’s worth noting the difference to keep everyone on track. I don’t want to confuse anyone.

   There's no confusion. You made the argument pole sales significantly increased and I simply pointed out those were used by more than just strippers.

   We simply shouldn't confuse what many use as a workout tool with the health of the stripclub industry.

We are in the strip club industry category, on a website for sex workers and those who love them.

I also never made the argument that stripper poles are used for strippers exclusively. I added it as one of the many things I’ve noticed such as sales on exotic platform shoes and dance wear but yes in the strip club category I am talking about strip clubs and strippers. Not competitive pole dancers as I’m not a competitive pole dancer I wouldn’t know.

  I get that. But what matters is not how much clubs and ladies are spending. Will be more if patrons will return once restrictions are eased or lifted. As many are struggling financially and unsure if they'll still have a job once this is over, it's unclear if adult establishments will survive the very possible recession ahead.

Actually I think those are the times, historically,  when clubs thrive. My real fear is that the idiot owners will double the price of drinks to cover their present losses.
