How did you first discover Lyla/CERB?

Thanks to @NotchJohnson for kicking off this interesting conversation on another thread! So tell us, when and how did you first find out about us?

  As I mentioned in the other thread, I discovered CERB/LYLA by simply looking for information about local ladies.

  To be honest, I'm not even sure CERB was the first one I tried to join. With many boards with "ERB" in the name, was struggling to differentiate them. I registered to one in order to access information reserved for members. Again not sure if was CERB or not, but it required a minimal participation, something I didn't want to bother with at the time. And after a few weeks, my password was no longer valid and I lost interest.

    Was only years later I discovered LYLA as was getting more results for Ottawa ladies. That time I put the effort to familiarize myself with the board and joined.

Well it was so long ago I don't remember exactly.  I was doing OK on CL ( by reading and monitoring carefully) but some where along the line I discovered CERB.

Many Many Years Ago...Feb 2010 If I Recall I Arrived LOL                                                                           Actually I discovered CERB using Google.  I decided (another story no I won't tell that boring story) to embark on this lifestyle.  I knew somehow there was more, much more to seeing companions than pay and receive services and the internet...specifically boards provide an "education" so to speak

I perused the internet and CERB not only was positive and provided such an "education" but it was for lack of a better word, friendly both to client and companion.  Some of the other boards (won't name them but take a guess) were misogynistic.

So CERB/Lyla I joined and stayed and will continue to stay (sorry Mods LOL) even with the name change.  That's my story to the best of my recollection.

Back in early 2011 Cerb was extremely Ottawa centric and I simply googled escorts ottawa and Cerb was one of top two hits. I just tried it again now and lyla didn't meke it onto the first page of links. I had started viewing Cerb for a few months without registering but back then you could only view 5 posts if you weren't registered and then you'd get bumped off - I joined, lol. I appreciate the positive approach on this forum and never visit any of the other 'erb sites.

Can't remember how I found it but I'm sure though Google.  I think I had a well known massage provider mention it to me as well and i decided to joined.

It's been great for me as I live in the Ottawa area and this forum was a valuable tool for me to use. 

And it opened me up to other types of providers and elements of this hobby, enjoyed every minute.

I found Lyla through a member. As I was starting Lyla didn't come up in the search engine. 

I remember starting and timing my ads two or three days before I needed them up as it took so long for new members posts to get approved.

And there's tons of great discussion and information - that's why I've remained active on the board.

The challenge for the board will be that once someone had made a touchdown and joined is to convert that to participation.

Myself, Im from another city so when I came to Ottawa to work, I went with an agency and heard about lyla from them, though it was called cerb back then. If not from them though, I wouldve heard of it through the gents.

 

When I went indie I contacted Pistol Pete and asked him to vouch for the fact that I was indeed me (someone had tried to impersonate me so I didnt want any question) So he contacted mod and all was well.
