Trying to understand the mind of some escorts

Recommended Posts

So, this is the deal. Let me explain.

The reality is that many escorts have been punched twice because of the COVID. With some very honourable exceptions, most of the girls have a dayjob which they have been laid off. Escorting is a high-risk work with the pandemic around. So, their income has gone to what the EI or CRP.

I have texted some ladies trying to offer some kind of work (a project I am doing that requires open-minded girls), but they seem they thing right away that someone will take advantage or they ask for a unrealistic compensation (like if they hold a PhD). Without disclosing my project, I would copy the Uber model: you get paid when you work, no commitments, no schedules, and done from home.

To me in this economics, is always get 50% of something than 100% of nothing.

If someone could help me how to approach them?

@waterat yes, thats the exact kind of behaviour I always get. They think I want "free" service, when what i want is giving a business proposal.

Let's  see...you have a new account, few posts, no reputation, and seem to be offering a "to good to be true" business arrangement."

Why would these ladies, who have douchebags trying to take advantage of them constantly, possibly mistrust you.

You offer no clarity, no encouragement or soothing words...just anger that the world isn't bending to your will.

You might be good at your "business," but you have zero insight into human behavior.

Good luck.

What you're describing is pretty much an arrangement. What ever the "project", it should start by getting to know that lady first before making any type of business proposition. Maybe start with a date/sessions. If things go well, maybe then try to work an arrangement.

@500 Pound Gorilla Your comments are spot on. The 'new account' label is misleading. It is an artifact, I think, from members who were still in moderation (i.e. fewer than 5 posts) when the platform switched to the new format. Now that there's no moderation period a recently joined member with zero posts is identified as a 'general member'.  @yak30000 is closing in on 4 years on the board in Feb. so I suppose that makes his 17 posts prior to starting this thread seem rather sparse. A quick glance at the content posted supports all of your comments.

@Greenteal you've been more generous, hopeful and helpful than me. This vague 'project' (proposition?, proposal?) wouldn't elicit a response from any of my reputable lady friends here on Lyla. I'm pretty sure they would decline seeing him as a client. Post history alone would confirm that.

This whole thread makes me think of the "Hey, you available?" texts that ladies too often deal with. They ignore them and usually just block the number too. @yak30000 you've been provided with a number of comments here, some a little harsh, none inaccurate and they should direct you to do some foundational work on your 'project' business plan and some reputation building. The OP has left a bad taste in my mouth - appears to be directed to vulnerable SW's during this Covid-19 situation and lockdown. It has left one four letter word bouncing around in my brain. Hope I'm wrong.

I'll try to stay diplomatic here but wtf

The entire tone of this proposal would make me run in the opposite direction..

So many assumptions.. I don't even know where to start.. But I shall

I'll say it, this sounds pimpy, and moderately exploitative, especially with the type of person you're looking for - an open minded (to suit your needs) but mostly out of work escort on government assistance (implying desperation), during a pandemic.. Ouch

Don't forget that escorting is always high risk work.. With or without a pandemic, but what do I know 😂

Unrealistic compensation?

For what type of work exactly? Sexual? Only assuming since you're looking for escorts..

What is a fair price to follow a stranger off into his dream of making money from my (sexual) labour?

Do we need a PhD to command higher rates for our services?

I don't need a PhD to know that this sounds like a bad deal for me lol but I appreciate the added insult to the providers you're trying to recruit..

The 50% of something vs 100% of nothing is what was big ending nope for me bud

I don't think you understand the dynamic economics of this particular, versatile, varied industry

.... I'd rather work at Tim Hortons

So, here's an idea for the OP: since you're recruiting for a paid position, why not advertise it in the same way as you'd advertise any other job to the general public? You can point people to that ad if you like, and they can apply if interested. And you may also get applicants from other people, too.

Thanks for raising this, @waterat. If you notice any accounts like this can you please let me know on this thread?

 Thanks!

Without agreeing with him, I kinda get what he's talking about even if his approach is at best clumsy. This is the reason why rates and arrangement terms should be discussed privately.

From what I understand, he seems to be looking for an arrangement. And I agree this can be made under certain circumstances between people who known each other for weeks, months or years. But it's not the type of deal that should be suggested in the beginning of a business relationship. nor discussed on public forums.
