This 3 month old news story seems to be about the topic:

Police investigate assault on sex worker - Winnipeg Free Press

Links to other boards are normally frown upon. But as a warning to other, it's worth a mention:

MAN ATTACKING, STRANGLING AND ROBBING SPs ON LEO LIST | Vancouver Escorts Review Board Forum | Perb

Will recommend moving this thread in the Warning forum.

Charles, Spontanious thought you were drunk because “most taken teth off not seeing” and “Shaw the damage” make no sense. Please proofread before you post.

in any case, Jethro Bodine on the other board was right when he said that asshole needs to be boned up the ass repeatedly in prison.

Thread on the other board is gone.  That's strange for a PSA.

The be honest, the information in the thread was not much different from the news story I posted.

As we don't know if he was arrested or not, ladies should remain cautious when meeting new clients matching the description. And that no matter their ethnicities.

It's a difficult situation for providers to screen and stay safe. Clients are extremely reluctant to provide verifiable photo ID - generally it's never asked for nor provided. The sooner this criminal is identified, charged and convicted, the better.

Not that I'm anywhere near Winnipeg, but all I would have to do is wear some heavy clothing and get a camouflage-print mask to match the description form the WFP.

Stay and play safe, everyone.

"The suspect is described as a white man between 30 and 35 years old, 5-foot-7 with a heavy build, wearing a camouflage-print face mask."

You're wrong there.  That thread had a security camera photo posted by another provider.  Showed a white male, black baseball cap with a mask covering his mouth.  There was also some confusion as to whether the suspect had been arrested or not.  There was mention of the suspects arrest, but nothing has been reported.

Like you said, there been a lot of confusion on the matter. Not helped by a vague description and picture of an half covered face.

Other than recommending vigilance, not much can be done.

The news story you posted was different incident.  In the news story the SP met the perpetrator at a Pembina Hwy hotel.  The ladies who claim they were attacked, all say it happened at their in call locations.  All in the area near IKEA.

The news story was posted by the same lady who started the thread on the other board. That same person was also unsure if women of color were specifically targeted.

Those could also be unrelated incidents. But until we get news from the victims or law enforcement, we'll never know for sure.

   P.S.

Would have helped if the OP had posted the information instead of shaming us for not talking about something barely mentioned in the news and only referenced on another message board. I/we shouldn't be the ones posting what the warning was all about.

The complete lack of any information on this issue is strange.  One would think that if a guy was targeting women, the police would have a responsibility to warn other ladies in the industry.

Agreed.  The fact that the guy posed as a police officer and there's multiple instances, you'd assume that WPS would be doing more.  But they only list the first incident in December and people with info should contact the Counter Exploitation Unit.  No dots being connected.  So it's up to the providers to do so in this case.
