Karina's Pub in Casselman

Recommended Posts

It's odd I don't see any threads for this SC in Casselman. Been there along time. Dumpy place, but usually three or four dancers. Various mileage.

Is this the old Nation's tavern?

I used to live in Casselman 10-15 years ago and had plenty of mileage at that place....Indeed very dumpy place with wood lattice booths back then....

Not Nation's Tavern, but I remember that place, mileage extraordinaire. Karina's is a dump too. No hot water in the restrooms, think Club 61 a little notch down. YMMV.

Went there for the first (and last time ever) last summer after a golf game with friends. Not exactly a classy place. The cubicle is a chair and a drap. When we came in , there was someone just getting in the cubicle. At a certain point, we see the guy dropping is pants to his ankles............. and was only there for a song or two.

This lady, the only lady on site, came to sit with us after she had, what I have to assume, performed her non-official duties with her client. Not exactly a spinner ( and I`m being kind). She smiled at me and she had no teeth. She explained that her dentures were being repaired and she proceeded to ask if I ever got gumbed before........ I kindly declined this opportunity to fulfill a long life ``fantasme``.......... and downed my beer and was happy to return home.

Good summary. All kinds there. Two booths with drapes. Not exactly the Nuden in atmosphere.

Not exactly the Nuden. I believe that toothless story. Don't look for that Pepsodent smile. They have a patio outside where the dancers and clients congregate, and kids just walk by. Could never figure out how that place exists in a small French town with those big churches.

There was a similar place on L'Orignal at one time on the Main Street.

The comment about being "gummed" had me laughing uncontrollably. I will definitely NOT stop there I my way from Montreal.

Many years ago I had this 350 pounder dance for me. True story, I must have been drunk, then she asked me for take-out. I sobered up very quickly.

This is the dancer type, Montreal Haitians, MILFS, over the hill dancers, and two ton tessies. Every once in a while there is an exception like a spinner type. It's almost like a last hoorah stop for dancers.

The clientele is not much better, lots of yahoos, drunks, old obese types. Makes the Dollar look like The Ritz Carlton.

Sounds like something from a Farrelly brothers movie lol. Might be worth a visit just for the comedic aspect of it. :D

Heard about it before but never had a chance to stop by.

As was said earlier, the comedic aspect is what would make me go in, with friends, for a beer or 2 (not alone).

But from the outside, a total stranger would not guess that there is nakedness in there; it looks more like an old tavern/pub.

Yes, from the outside there is no signage that there are dancers inside. As a matter of fact I don't think that the stage is ever used. You just kind of hang around, talk to one of the ladies and walk over to the CR if you wish. This is very much a local place with the odd client from Cornwall or Ottawa. Again it's a good jaunt from Ottawa.

Exactly, this place looks from the outside as if it is one of those old fashioned places with a 'ladies and escorts' entrance on one side. When I went in (daytime) there may have been 1 or 2 girls there about 5 men, C & W playing and a soap opera on the TV. Everybody seemed to know each other and I'm not sure how well the girls were doing $ wise.

I dropped in to Karina's this afternoon, and there was a cute Haitian girl called Malia, pretty face and nice booty! We went for a few dances and they were excellent.

But while we were in the CR, the only other dancer came into the booth beside us with an elderly guy that Malia had been schmoozing with before I asked her for dances, and Malia started really snarling at the other dancer, in French, basically, saying you are stealing my customer! It was quite the little catfight!

Anyways, she treated me well and I will go back soon.

And, an added bonus, soft drinks are only $3.00!

Didn't realize there were would be so much response to this thread. I was surprised there are dancers on a Tuesday, last I heard about a year ago that they are only there from Thursday afternoon about 4:00PM through Saturday.

Do they still have those primitive booths next to the stage? Just couldn't rationalize the long drive out there, uness I was on my way to Montreal or Cornwall.

Grandma's, heavyweights, dentures and once in a while a dancer who just wants to get out of the Ottawa/Gatineau limelight. If you are on the way to Cornwall or Montreal may be worth a stop just for curiosity.

About 8 years ago I had a blind date arranged with a girl living in Hawksbury (i was in Ottawa). We looked on the map and saw Casselman was about halfway and figured there was probably some sort of bar there. We met at the Tim's on the highway and drove into town. The only place that seemed to have liquor was the star of this thread. As a few people have said, looked like a regular local bar, a bit rundown but that was OK with my new friend. It was Saturday night so there's a few old guys at the bar watching the hockey game on the TV over the bar, otherwise no one else around. We sat in the main area and ordered drinks, sitting near what looked like a parquet flooring dance floor, and having a great conversation, especially considering we just met. As the 2nd beers arrive, we notice a rather heavy black girl in horrible lingerie comes out from the back room. She saunters over to a wicker screen on the other side of the room and a guy from the bar joins her behind the screen without a word being spoken. I think I hear some suspicious noises and a few minutes later they both emerge, and the guy joins his buddies back at the bar. Another girl who could be the first one's twin comes out and now both of them are behind the screens with the regulars. Keep in mind we're both a bit nervous, and had no idea it was a combo local watering hole, sports bar and peeler bar. My eyes must have been like saucers as my friend and I realize what's going on, so I ask her if she'd like to leave. She was cool though, and we finished our beer and left. Probably worked out for the best, because we ended up going for coffee at Tim's, talking in the car and fooling around a bit when the parking lot was empty. Certainly had a good laugh about my first and only visit to Casselman :)

The booth area has changed four times in the last 10 years or so. Now it's two makeshift booths next to the stage. I don't think the stage is ever used. No stage duty for the dancers here. At one time they were changing the bar to nightime karaoke. I was there recently around nine pm and looks like they have gone back to regular dancers.
