A new comer with question about knowledge to verify girls, with example cases

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a new comer in not only just Halifax but finding escort service in general. I'm an international person and I have only recently engaged into paid sex services, and now I hope to find some nice and friendly girls in Halifax but it has been quite difficult compared to my home country and big cities like Toronto.

I know th basics such as check pictures with google, check other ads from same user, and check on Lyla for reviews, but I'm having trouble with distinguish stuff like "too good to be true." And to make my case easier to understand, I have a few ads from Leolist, that I'm having difficulty with verifying. Please share your wisdoms with me, anything can help! Even small tips regarding the specifics one might face in Halifax.

Thank you for your time and I wish you the best of luck out there! I know I will definatly need it 🙂

I'm sure Greenteal will pop on by with his words of wisdom and trademark snark, but I'll offer some of my own hard-won advice.

Face pics are a pretty sure sign the person advertising is fake, especially if they don't have any other internet presence. The second, third, and fourth ad you listed, for example, look really fake to me. Not all providers who show their face are fake, but if if they seem way too good to be true and have zero other presence internet presence (twitter/insta/website/reviews) they are usually fake, a bait & switch, or a straight up scam.

Rates are another indicator for me. If anyone is charging less than $200 an hour, they are probably a scam, or if they want to be paid in gift cards or via a deposit up front, again, probably a scam.

there are a lot of regular providers who live in Halifax and work most days of the week, and they generally have a very regular presence on Leo or here, but there are also a lot of providers who travel around canada and keep a fairly low profile, and Halifax is a common destination for them. if you see an ad on leo that you're interested in and have never seen before, feel free to send a message to that person and ask things like if they are indeed in Halifax, for how long, how much their rates are (if not posted) and which part of the city they are located. From this you can get a pretty good idea if they are serious and you can figure out if you want to trust your gut or not. This is the method I use to suss out providers and it's been pretty good to me, it's not 100%, and sometimes you have to be prepared to drive across town only to walk back to your car and drive home once you realize you've been baited and switched. It happens.

With the exception of asian providers, I find if the provider is staying in a reputable hotel, they are generally legit, but even then, don't send a deposit. If they are staying in a very cheap motel, that also speaks volumes.

The first and last adds you posted seem real to me, but I can't say I've visited with either of them.

reaching out to the users on here is also quite helpful. as this is a recommendation board, no one says anything negative about the ladies publicly (and rightfully so), but sometimes people will say they have visited with someone and then not say a good thing about that person and that too will speak volumes. Sometimes when you reach out members will tell you exactly how they feel about a particular provider (good or bad), and sometimes users will point you in some pretty good directions. I met a provider I otherwise wouldn't have taken a chance on because of another member's recommendation to me, and I have since visited that provider a dozen or more times.

hope this helps.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful! I already saw Greenteal's post but still had some questions, you answered most of them!

I do have another question. Does Leolist's verificed poster guaranteed to be at least legit and not a scam or bait and switch?

Also is there a page where you can find girls directly on Lyla? I saw people market as "Verified Independent" in some posts, but is there a dedicated page or section where you can find specifically these users?

As you covered most bases, not much I can say other than point my thread on that subject matter.

Good job.

How to: Verify pics, ads and identify potential fraud. - Lyla

Thank you sir! I already checked that out, it's very close to what I already know from advices for my home country's sex services, but the part about the editing of Leolist paper is very helpful.

Due to the high volume of advertisers, LL and other websites can't screen all of those for accuracy and legitimacy.  The "Verified" status is more or less efficient.

The best screening method is to find references connecting to recommendations and reviews. And make sure the contact informations  are consistent with their websites or social media pages.

I suggest reading the recommendation and annoncements forums:

Nova Scotia Recommendations Review Board | Discussion Forum - Lyla

Nova Scotia Escorts - Schedules & announcements Review Board | Discussion Forum - Lyla

Nova Scotia Massage - Schedules & announcements Review Board | Discussion Forum - Lyla

🙂

I do want to address. Please read up on the laws of Canada for engaging in this industry.

You, as a client, should not be paying for s3x services, at any time. It's illegal and will get you in hot water (charges, publicly shamed, ect). There has been a huge hike in trafficking in HRM and and across Canada. You make it easy when you pay for services vrs time, to be incriminated. It'll be a matter of time when they want to crack down on you and I as law abiding citizens because we are the easy targets.

In Canada is legal for my to solicit my services but illegal for you to purchase. Thus most of us will charge by time. That time never includes anything. What happens in that time is between you and the provider as sober consenting adults. If one party or the other is not sober, other legal issues can arise.

Most providers have multiple profiles on multiple sites that will leave you information to see what is possible within that time, along with those that allow recommendations. For myself I have live links/banners to most of my profiles to help you find what you need. Reading the actual ad and websites/Twitter ECT will help you immensely in answering your questions you have as well.

Welcome to Halifax and I hope you find a couple providers to enjoy time with.

Thank you so much for a sobering reminder on the criminal implication of what I'm proposing to ask here, especially concerning my potential status as an international person in Canada. Although I would still like to seek out some fun times within the discussed context, I will be extra careful and be aware of, as you have rightfully pointed out, the legal remifications that naturally arises from pursuing this desire. This line of business is even more heavily criminalized in my home country so I understand the danger from the law and illegal providers such as traffickers but I have so far able to avoid troubles with them there. With some more specific insights and careful exploration of credible potential providers, I hope I can be alright while have some fun with what Nova Scotia has to offer 🙂

And if it's not taking up your times, can you clarify what you mean by the sentence I quoted here?

Once again thank you for this reminder.

It's easier to incriminate you if you are paying for services. It's clearly lined out what you are receiving (the services) for the exchange of money.

All depends on the nature of requested services. Companionship and therapeutic are not a problem. But when going through the alphabet soup of options, this is where it gets complicated. Better to keep those details behind closed door and avoid attracting unwanted attention.

Usually I ask for simple things like a picture holding a piece of paper with the date and my name on it or something along those lines. A few SP have sent me a copy of their hotel room confirmation that was helpful since then I know theya re actually where they say they are. But I guess just go with your gut, if she has no personality and sounds robotic and doesnt have any reviews or social media dont send a deposit plain and simple. Otherwise if shes not asking for a deposit and she shows up and it's not the right girl, simply don't pay her. I will never understand all these people who say they got "ripped off" when they paid the girl who showed up that wasn't the right girl..why did you pay her then?

Some providers (myself included) won’t send free pictures as confirmation, but instead will point you in the direction of their reviews, websites and social media platforms (if you haven’t already done so). You can usually find review & website links on LL in the provider’s ad description, or linked underneath the description as well. To reiterate what was said above, other providers may require a deposit to secure their time as it’s been wasted in the past, but if they have reviews & websites dedicated to their business, paired with a good reputation, you should feel comfortable that they are legit. The most important thing to remember would be to do any research you can on the provider you wish to visit before contacting, and to make sure that you are being clear in explaining what you are looking for during your visit. Don’t hesitate to ask questions either! Communication is key in determining whether or not someone is considered “too good to be true”.

Wishing you goodluck & lots of fun!
