CERB'S State of the Union - As I see it.

With age comes wisdom :p. Couldn't have said it better myself my friend!

Old Dog,

I wanted to just do this with a comment on your initial thread but it would not allow me to do so.

I for one am with you 100%.

Cerb HAS become a community for me, with friends in whatever context that may be, but friends. I would hate to lose it or feel conflict or feel conflicted when I come in here.

My naivity shows even after all of these years and my idealism still reigns supreme.

I will be ever so content to sit back and learn from others, add bits of wisdom as I can, and even suffer through your bad jokes.

Thanks for starting this thread.

Old Dog ... very well said, and it needed to be said ... as a newcomer (late June) I found this board to be very helpful and interesting in July and most of August, but lately I've found very little reason to spend more than a minute or two on it ... I do hope it gets back to what it was

As OD delivers the Presidential Address so thoughtfully, I'll play the role of ensign, and stand in the background waving the (un)official Cerb Flag:

The Cerb community has always been resilient. And it will continue to be.

Maybe expectations are too high. As I write this there are 993 current active users online described as 451 members, 387 guests and 155 spiders (whatever that is) and I'm not sure if "hidden" surfers are included within these numbers.

I guess the point is, who makes up this community that we speak of ? I'm guessing that there are about 30-40 members maybe more and maybe less who participate publically and regularly in shout or respond to or start threads. Not many when you look at the numbers, probably less than 10% of registered members and 5% or less of active users and one could argue and since Saturday afternoons aren't cerb peak times, the 10% and 5% is might in fact be generous. Anytime you get a small number of people interacting daily or many times daily there's bound to be "dishes flying in the kitchen" once in awhile. I don't sweat it, maybe it's a signal of evolution or renewal which isn't a bad thing.

The vast majority obviously use cerb for differing purposes that are not public like pm's to contact providers or previously for profile visits.

Maybe Cerb is what it is.....and isn't what it isn't.

Peace

MG

I haven't been around a lot the last week or two so its sounds like I misses some really juicy stuff (wink).

Cerb seems just fine to me ... I think the escort recommendation board portion of cerb is for the most part peacefully coexisting with the more social side of things. For the guys, you still see a bit of discussion of individual ladies on the cerb local boards and the reviews are pretty good. And there's a lot of fun stuff on the general discussion board including the occasional naughtier topics (yeah)!

Yes my thanks to Old Dog too. I did my share of the posts in that thread and I sincerely apologize to anyone if I hurt anybody's feelings but I went out and kissed a few beautiful cute girls, came back home and called for a beautiful pale brunette and I am ever so friendly and relaxed now.

So, my advise (from personal experience) go out and share a few hugs and kisses and then get laid lol and everything would be so peaceful, bright and relaxed and loving lol. Oh I feel so good now :-).

Peace and love upon the cerbland .

I have not been here much in the last month and I'm not sure what is going on but I do agree with what Old Dog said, why can't we all be friends here.

Big hug to all of you and kisses to all the ladies.

A small group of strong wills, are bound to disagree on something from time to time. As long as we can restrain ourselves from "I am right and you are wrong" kind of tone, most people will pause and at least consider your point of view. There will, no doubt, be more disagreements to come. I see nothing alarming about a heated debate, as long as it is not vindictive.

I agree with "Old Dog", this site is/has been a great experience for many/all of us and we should appreciate what we have here. The internet has brought us much closer together and provides for a lot more dialogue and discussion.

At times the written words can be a bit harsh, and often easy to mis-convey our views and those views can be easily be mis-intrepreted too.

We should remember, we are all here for particular reasons and we have many common interests. We should all take a few seconds, reach out and touch our friends on here and move forward to a place where we all love to come and look, chat and just feel good about our lives.

I would like to reach out to all my friends here and just say that it is an honour to be on a board to so many great people. Cheers and all the best.
