Any one ever been ?

If so was it enjoyable ?

I love all seasons .. but I love snow

 

I was thinking of going , making a holiday & a bit of working.

Very, very enjoyable... lot's of partying going on!

 

But this year, I am going (2nd time) to the Red Bull Crashed Ice. Another good event in Quebec City!

 

One advise... book your hotel early sweety! :icon_wink:

Athana is right it is a lot of fun. You do have to book early. Booking a room now is late and you will probably have trouble finding a room in Old Quebec or down town. I am there almost every year during Carnaval for work and we book our rooms in November.

 

Lots of activities on the Plains of Abraham and inside the old walls.

As others have said, lots of fun. I think Carnival is one of those great festivals/experiences that every Canadian should partake in at least once.

I was born and raised in Quebec City. Le Carnaval de Quebec is in my blood.

 

Red Bull Crashed Ice is an amazing event. I've been for two years now as well and always have a great time. The carnaval itself is really fun too and doesn't even compare to Winterlude in Ottawa. There's always so much to see and do, and beautiful ice sculptures as well.

 

If you come to Quebec City I would also suggest visiting the Ice Hotel. It's beautiful and the beds are impressive ;)

It's a great event. I like the canoe races and the outdoor dance parties. Best to book hotels early however - as the good ones quicky sell out. The Carinval in Ottawa (winterlude) pales greatly in comparison.
