I'm wondering what area of Kingston would be the most convenient for you to visit an escort? Would it be downtown, or some other part of the city? Most of the nicer hotels are located downtown by the waterfront. This area seems to be most popular by the touring ladies, judging by their ads. Hannah Star 2136 Report post Posted April 11, 2013 Kingston is really small so you can never really be anywhere out of the way more than 10 minutes max ..i am the hotel connaisseur if you ever have any questions... Theres a few options in ktown....the only area I personally HAVE NOT stayed while working is the waterfront. -- the only part of town where there is a lack of and a cost for parking (daytime weekdays) and its pricier and more distracting lol..but people do request downtown sometimes and its really nice for sure but, Options: -division st-401 (days inn, comfort inn, holiday inn, new marriot) super traveler friendly -mid princess st: (ambassador. peachtree, travelodge, comfort inn midtown) pretty secluded if youre wanting to be a tourist on foot but its absoloutely ideal I would boycott new motel 6 by the truck stop - not sp friendly (ie staff) and not easy to find & the address doesnt come up on gps (very inconvienient) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Im afraid the furthest I've gone from the bus station during my 20min stop between Montreal and TO was to the Tim Horton's a few steps away.. lol So I appreciate it. stbus83 137 Report post Posted April 11, 2013 Downtown`s nice, but finding parking can be a pain, (especially if theres a concert at the K-Rock Center.) I would agree with others here that Division& 401 would be better, free parking, and not far from resturants, box stores, factory outlets, etc. Easy access off 401, so you don`t have to know the city. Wishing you tons of success! Be safe and thanks so much for your help. As far as I can tell (I've never been inside) the Comfort Inn of Princess (it is mid town) is nothing but a glorified motel. The Best Western Fireside Inn is fairly nice and does have fantasy suites but it also has an odd layout and I'm unsure how "traffic" or visitors would be perceived. The waterfront hotels are also commonly called the downtown hotels. Aside from the Four Points on King St and the many hotels on Ontario St (Holiday Inn, Kingston Waterfront Hotel (Formerly the Radisson), Marriot, Confederation Place) there is nothing else worth staying at in the downtown area. As Hannah said, if you want to play tourist this is the area to stay. Parking isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I'm sure you would also do well in the mid to west end of town (Ambassador, Peachtree, Travelodge) or out at Division and 401. In fact, with your reputation I think you'll do well where ever you choose to stay. It's really just a matter of what you want to be able to do in your down time while you're here. If it is all about work then I would suggest staying out of the downtown area. If, on the other hand, you want to get out of the room and enjoy some quality food, shopping and atmosphere then downtown is the place to be. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

beniger 100 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 I agree "downtown is the place to be" It sends a message to your visitors that you take quality and location seriously. while I don't think you can go wrong with the other recommendations you've heard, I would be more impressed visiting you downtown. I will definitely take it into consideration when I make my decision. Currently checking out the hotels to help me decide. Attractions don't really matter to me, as when I visit a city, I am there for one thing and one thing only. I like to be at the top of my game so I don't spend energy elsewhere. I take it very seriously so I don't get distracted whether there are things to do or not. The only thing I do consider is being close to things like; grocery store, bank, pharmacy, restaurants (as most hotels don't have a means to cook, which is something I always try to find), that sort of thing. But all else waits till I take a personal trip or I'll sometimes stay an extra day for that. I know this is not the norm, but it's me =) But thank you for making a very valid point. The parking situation downtown doesn't bother you? Is princess street downtown? There seems to be a lot of places on that street. Anyway, thanks again hon! And to everyone else, thanks again! While there are a lot of hotels and restaurants downtown along Princess street, the street is undergoing some serious construction for most of this year. Also, if the nearby K-Rock centre (which is downtown too) is having an event on then parking is even a greater nightmare!
