New girl (still) needs advice!

Recommended Posts

Hey

Thanks again everyone for all the helpful tips and suggestions. I have another question for the ladies and the gentlemen, if I can get your opinions it will be very helpful.

I've been advised by all of the women to get references for all of the men, however some men seem to be a little upset or surprised by this- is it common to ask for a reference? What do you ladies do when the man says he can't get one? Men, are you upset by the question? I'm all for inclusivity, but I also feel that safety is number one.

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Your safety should be your #1 concern. I have no problems giving references or info so you check me out and know I am just a dumbass and not a physco or le.

References are not a problem as long as the other ladies don't mind...hopefully they all have each other's backs on a safety issue like this.

If you believe it is needed than go with it. We check SPs review and references, why shouldn't you?? Your job put you out there all the time, a little safety check is good.

I wouldn't be bothered if asked. As the other guys have said most of us have high respect for the ladies and that must include your safety.

If an issue does exist it might be around discretion but I think 'within', a great deal of trust exists by all those who participate. Only other challenge might be for newbies who honestly don't have a long list of references. But I think you're smart enough to see through those legitimate ones and those scamming you.

Hope that helps.

Must have for Winnipeg. Don't compromise, because you have LE issues there, unlike some other places. References are a good way for you to make sure the individual calling is not a sting.

You do have an opportunity thru membership here to also use the members handle as a screening method. Many sps on other boards will accept that in lieu of sp references, or as an alternative to the exchange of some personal information. For example, you get a pm from coachg to make an appt with you. You can look at his posts and see that he has reviewed other sps and get an idea if you and he would be a good match. You have the option of pm contact with the sp reviewed if she is a member here to confirm him if everyone agrees to that method of a reference.

I believe that safety is number one, however as far as references go I think I would be screwed and not in a good way. I usually go for Broadways and have been with very few 'Escorts'. So if asked for references I wouldn't be upset or put out, just kinda....screwed.

As been said by many -- Safety is a paramount consideration. Asking for references is not unreasonable. Additionally, it's good practice to have someone watch your back by making a call before and after the date. For the occasions where a potential client cannot provide references, use your discretion and trust your instinct.

Always ask for a reference. A reference even being another girl they have seen before.

References weren't a really big deal till the LE became active and started doing their stings.

As for blocked callers calling too, I do answer cause I have few regular's that call me this way. I don't give out any info, rates, location. I politely tell them to call back from an unblocked #. This weeds out the WOT's as well. The ones that never had any intention to book with you never call back from an unblocked #.

We are giving out very personal information to them, such as our incall location. I expect discretion from them, as I in return give them the uptmost discretion as well.

Follow your instincts too. If something doesn't feel right about the caller or someone trying to book with you, your safety is more important then a few hundred dollars.

The gentlemen that are very serious about seeing you don't have problems giving you some information. Those are the lucky guys that get to spend time with the beautiful girls.

You can use a girl you've seen at Broadways as a reference. It only takes the SP you'd like to see to give that girl a call to see if your legit.

I've seen first timers that have only been to EB/TO. It does help to have a handle and have done a review or two on the MP girls you've seen.

While I would be very cautious in providing my personal information, I have absolutely no problem with providing references from other sp's I've seen. For your own protection against LE incursions, bad clients, etc. it makes sense to ask for some information and do some checking and screening.

There are indeed risks in this business, and no one wants any of our lovely ladies getting into trouble.

Guys that gripe about this approach probably need to find a new (and different) hobby.

safety of course is understandable, but what is the normal "procedure" for guys like me, who really haven't been with an SP yet, except for one over a year ago, and who is now retired?

I was in your position too in the not-so-long-a-go-past.....

Participate on the forum, head in to chat, correspond with some of the SP.

You could also join a verification service like Date-Check.

or start out by seeing some of the mp gals, they don`t ask for references but I`m sure will give one for you if you`re a good guy.
