Sue your stylist... or, if you can't get a hold of your lawyer then at least ask for compensation. If it happened to me, I'd be livid.

Don't worry about wearing a wig if need be. There's a few girls here that wear them to change their look up. Short hair is sexy too though!

I don't know how short they are, but you can have some euh english words that I am not sure, but elongations of hairs. ok it's false, but some look really natural!

Post a photo if you don't mind. It's to make others aware of the work in this salon.

Don't worry Tracie. Puppy is going to be just fine, he wants to be back with his Mommy more than anything I bet. Your hair? Well I've been volunteering with LookGoodFeelBetter through CancerCare, for female cancer patients, for the last 9 years, as a make-up artist and certified Wig Specialist.

It's no secret that our hair represents our femininity. Long or short, it's how you carry yourself that'll sell your hairstyle. Rock it, put some gel or paste in and spike it up, or shake your head vigorously and hairspray in place! lol The women I work with have lost their hair, their eyebrows and eyelashes too. The chemotherapy they're using to kill the cancer, sadly kills many other cells in the process. I show women how to choose, buy, care for and style their wigs. But not everyone has $250-600 to spend on a realistic-looking synthetic wig (real hair ones are too expensive and far too much trouble) so I canvas others in order to get wigs donated for those who have no insurance or extra funds.

I empathize with your plights Tracie, and I strongly urge you to do whatever makes you look good, and feel better.

Darling Tracie,

I know just how you feel! I lost almost 18 inches last spring because of a bad visit to a salon. I went from long and flowing locks to a number 2 buzz to fix it. It threw me for a huge loop and I literally went into hiding. Hang in there and don't fear. Since returning, my guests have loved it and it is growing out. Allow this to be an opportunity to challenge your self perceived identity and embrace the fact that you are not your hair. You are a smart and sexy woman regardless of your locks. Wigs are big fun, explore your options. I like Momma CiCi's on St. Laurent. Inexpensive and variety to boot...

With the demand for clothing requests and dress up games, wearing a wig could work to one's advantage. The glass is half full. :)

I can totally understand where your coming from...Almost a year ago I went to a salon recommended from another lady and she was coloring my hair...She did the wrong color and then when she went to cut it I also had hair almost to my bum and it went right up to shoulders if not a tad bit shorter...I walked out pissed. But then afterwards I just worked with it and sometimes from missing my long hair I put in extensions every now and then to spice it up..Im sure you will do fine hun!

Tracie,

Having been lucky enough to meet you since the "hair cut incident" I can tell you that you are beautiful with short hair! I never saw what your hair looked like before, but your personality and "joie de vivre" are evident and wonderful. The fact that so many people have given you positive encouragement, and reassuring words, only demonstrates what a wonderful person that you are, and the respect that you have earned from others on this board, myself included.

I wish all "Cerbites" a very Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays if more appropriate), and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

T. P.

Guest S***e

Hi Tracie:

A couple of years ago a lady friend of mine was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and she, of course, lost all her hair. She felt very self-conscious about it and had considered buying a wig to cover it up. It was during the winter months and as usual it was very cold and I ran into her while out at work. She was wearing a beautiful winter hat and her beautiful face was colourful and well made up. We went for lunch and she removed her hat to reveal a perfectly shaped bald head. She looked absolutely stunning and I told her so. As she said at the time, "It'll grow back." The main objective in her life was to win over the cancer that was inside her. She's fine now and she has a full head of hair. I often joke with her that I found her so attractive when she was bald. I'm just glad she's healthy which was my concern all along, hair or no hair!
