If you're like me and like more of the ethnic type foods then you should try when in Montreal East Africa it's certainly not fancy but the food is amazing. Make sure you either make a reservation or order ahead of time...it's all made from scratch but worth the wait.

My other favorite is Pick Thai It's fancier ,food is amazing...make sure to try their eggplant salade ..it's like little bursts of flavor in your mouth. so good.

When I lived in Victoria, BC, my favorite restaurant was Milestones. Right on the harbour and great food.

A great lunch place was Sams - they served the biggest Roast Beef Sandwiches.

In Saint John, NB, Vitos Pizza is hands down the best pizza in Canada.

I also like Bamboo East for Chinese Food.

Meaghan, first time I have disagreed with you on anything, its so distressing! Vitos is better than Il Pomodori, really?

Definitely the silver spoon in Ottawa, it has the best thai curry I've had... nothing in Toronto or Montreal compares :(

In Montreal: Qing Hoa Dumpling and Pamika Brasserie

In Ottawa: Colonnade Pizza

In St John's: The Reluctant Chef

In Toronto: King's Noodle

In Ottawa the Mongolian Village is by far my favourite! It's a build your own stir-fry type of place, you choose your veggies, meat, noodles, sauces, etc and the cook it up for you :)

Plus with free soup and rice, how can you go wrong?!

PS - they deliver now too!

I'm shocked that nobody mentioned Rodney's Oyster Bar in Toronto. If you love seafood like me, I would highly recommend you try it.
