I just wanted something that sounded like a real name. The last name I chose cause it was a friend's last name that I grew up with...

I googled it, and found a "Sarah MCQuestion" *(With an "H") who's a champion sno-cross racer. lol I should have checked that first. Lmao.. Oh well. ;)

My real name is similar to my working name - people who don't even know I'm an escort sometimes call me by that name which makes me chuckle.

Most of my regulars know my real name - as I'm getting more "out", it's not as big a deal for me if someone finds out. All my family members and friends who are important to me know what I do so it's no big secret.

I chose a name that is unusual so that people don't confuse me for another lady....so far it's worked well! Plus, I just think it sounds pretty. :)

It's a good thing that the ladies were questioned and not the guys... cuz if we had working names, the one-upmanship would be ridiculous.

I personally would have chosen Betelgeuse Thunderstick... not that I am an annoying ghost nor does junior make a great deal of noise... come to think of it, that would be a really stupid name. I guess that is why I am not an SP... I would spend all my time figuring out my persona and not working....

The 2nd agency I worked for chose it for me, they said it sounded classy and exotic. at first i hated it, now its grown on me a year and a half later.

I had a client even give me a last name "Annessa Coddington" because he had to save my number in his phone and make it sound like a work collegue to his SO should she ever find my name, lol...still not sure if I will keep that part but it but it makes me giggle when he calls me "ms. Coddington" ;-)

The first time I needed a work name, I just picked my friends name.

I eventually changed the name later on down the road.

But the name I changed it to was quite random and just came to me out of the blue when I started working at a web cam company.I had only a few minutes to decide...

What do you know, I was able to fix the poll so that the votes were private.

I'm personally crazy about my real name. I love it, it's unique (although it's becoming more and more popular).

But Soleil is the name I always wished I had. I think it describes me perfectly. I believe that I have a very sunny disposition, an easy laugh and a friendly smile. My hair is blonde, I'm lightly tanned and I love the Sun. I'm also half French (other half Dutch), and I think it sounds very lovely when spoken. It also attracts me that it's one of those French names that cannot be anglicised. When it occured to me that phonetically it would be spelled So Lay, I realized that I couldn't have chosen a more fitting name. lol

I think if I had to choose a working name, it would have to be something solid. A classic. Something weatherbeaten and manly, reminiscent of a bygone age when men were men and thick oily pomade was ubiquitous.

A moniker that hints at a dark past defeated only by a long troubled redemption; a handle that suggests a dash of adventure and intrigue. An appellation that would be at home if used by a hardboiled detective.

Something special, and unique. Something majestic. Something like... "Spurt Magoo".

It's a good thing that the ladies were questioned and not the guys... cuz if we had working names, the one-upmanship would be ridiculous.

I personally would have chosen Betelgeuse Thunderstick...

Not to hijack the thread but if I were a SP I would go the Jerry Seinfeld/George Costanza route from the episode "The Outing" and call myself Buck Naked!

Could not agree anymore about what you stated above Soleil. Your name does describe you perfectly, and love your disposition.
