My experiences in Vegas: an entire culture built on fleecing the sheep, worse than most third world countries.

There is a lot of fun to be had: drinks, food, shows, games... the rest has proven to be all sexy marketing and disappointment. I don't mean to be Mr. Negative, but my advice is : keep it real when it comes to expectations, and; remember if it seems too good to be true... Be a smart tourist!

That being said: I'll be arriving in the Greater Vegas area in early Nov, and minimizing contact with "The Strip". ;)
