  1. Finally someone is bringing this topic up and it is mind bottling to me how some can treat providers with this much disrespect, and sadly with way worse. 'Treat the people the way you like to be treated' was part of my upbringing and it takes a few min in your day to give someone a smile to get through their day. How lucky we are with the few SP's we have in our region and the different services they provide. A big THANK YOU to all ...

... and now its time to make someone smile ....

  2. We all know, hobbyist's and providers alike, how hard it is for providers to come to the valley. It is small town mentality and some days you cant buy an ice cream without the local radio announcing it but this is why we live here. Us hobbyist's are very aware of the risks providers are taking coming to the valley.

At the same time the valley has so much more to offer. A retreat from daily live and recharging the batteries, visiting some local farmers markets, eat some great food and enjoy the local wines.

Thank you Steph for your comments and thank you Katherine for the story, there was no better answer for the woman in PEI.

  3. So far you did get great advice and I can just second all of the above. Yes, it is magical when you find the one provider you are klicking with and even better if it works on both ends. But this is as far as it goes. Once that door closes behind you after the session, YOUR live will continue with YOU being front and center.

I have to admit, there are some of the best providers in this country here in Halifax, with some visiting on occasion. One could get lost in this hobby and at the end, it is a hobby. An escape from real life, an adventure for your senses. Enjoy these little moments given to you.

Hope you do find your way in this hobby

  4. Agreed on all the comments above and never to forget it is a luxury service we as hobbyist cherish. Prices are going up with everything, cost of living and so on. As a provider you are setting your own price according to your own costs and service you provide.

Just like with anything we like to "purchase", there is always some shopping going on. We all do it on a daily basis. Like a cost to benefit kind of thing, to put it a blunt way.

As a hobbyist and in my humble opinion, providers are in a service industry and depending on the service, there is a cost to it. If a provider increases her rates slightly and nothing has changed in the service provided, location and surroundings, then it may be due to the cost of living. That is understandable. Anything above and beyond, I would not be surprised if you see some changes in your customer base.

Hope everything works out for you ....

  5. This is a good topic and I am sure there are many hobbyist's in the valley that are asking the same question. Are there any SP's in the valley? Are there SP's that travel to the valley on a regular basis? If anyone has information in this regard, please post it here or send a PM. Thank you
