    Thanks Jessica, that all makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate you sharing the info.  I haven’t really figured out the advertising part yet, as Backpage was the main place for that here.  Right now I’m just reconnecting with former regular clients for the most part, so screening hasn’t been an issue, but figuring out whether and how I will advertise is difficult.  Lyla isn’t super popular here, unfortunately, and Leolist seems to be filled with bots.

    Thank you for the extra info Hukupp.  I’m not sure how I feel about texting apps specifically, but although I do understand people wanting to protect their privacy, the reality is there has to be a certain amount of trust in these relationships.  Hiding ones identity is ok when you’re just feeling the other person out for compatibility, but the decision to meet requires that both parties feel comfortable. In my case, I’d like to feel reassured that the person wanting to meet isn’t going to hurt or out me, and I guess there are concerns on the other side in those ways as well. As someone who would never put a clients personal information at risk, my own safety and security come first.  So however someone contacts me, if it doesn’t feel right then a meeting won’t happen.  

     

    I’m wondering now though, how you go about screening who you will meet?  How much communication is necessary and by what means before you feel comfortable?

    I’m in agreement with Bridget on this one!  It’s very difficult to find a legitimate place to advertise right now, so getting your name out there as a real SP without opening yourself up to the public domain (public disdain) is proving to be a problem. Add to that the high number of providers who are willing to work for appalling rates, and we have a nearly dead industry here these days.

    After a very uneventful (read boring!) winter being away, it's so great to be back on the rock!

     

    I will begin taking limited appointments starting on Tuesday, July 5th.     Hi Ice4Fun,

     

    I was so glad to find and read your comments regarding Mr Galgay and his political aspirations. He has attacked us twice now in a public forum without any notice or communication to us beforehand, and we feel pretty powerless to respond because, as you probably well know, privacy is important to all of us who work at Kendra's.

     

    Thank you so much for being an educated voice of reason, even if it wasn't meant to be on our behalf, we still appreciate it!
