There is an update here. In the closing arguments, the crown prosecutor admitted that C-36 was not intended to protect the safety of sex workers, which the Bedford v. Canada ruling required any new law to do.

Thanks Malika. It seems that most upscale hotels use elevator cards are now. What are your thoughts about the Intercontinental otherwise? How about the other hotels I mentioned? Any other recommendations for hotels?

Actually it's the Le Germain, but their current policy states that they don't allow unregistered guests in the rooms. I don't know if the policy is enforced.

Has anyone stayed at the Intercontinental? If so, would you recommend it?

What about the Eaton Chelsea, Omni King Edward, Westin Harbor, Delta Marriot, Fairmont or Hyatt?

I've used the St. Germain by Maple Leaf Square (next to the Air Canada Centre where the Raptors and Maple Leafs play.) No issues with getting visitors though you will need to come down and meet them by the elevators or in the lounge as elevators are secured by key card.

Thanks for the information. Do you know of any hotels in that area that don't require an elevator key card?
