Joshua Sinn has been charged with an indecent act after a woman called police on June 14, alleging she had seen a man masturbating in Grenville Park, north of Bath Road and just east of the end of Queen Mary Road, just after 6 p.m.

The woman alleges Sinn was standing in the long grass of a field with his pants pulled down, his shirt lifted and was openly touching himself. Even after making eye contact with the woman, police said, he continued.

The complainant managed to take pictures of Sinn during the alleged action. At that point, he left the park, police said.

Const. Steve Koopman said investigators immediately received tips from the public after images of the man were released last week. This led to Sinn's arrest, he said.

This is not the first complaint of an indecent act in that area.

In January, a woman was walking a dog on the Rideau Trail, near the intersection of Bath and Queen Mary roads, when she encountered a man masturbating.

When asked if the suspect linked to the June 14 incident is connected with other complaints in the area, Koopman said that has yet to be investigated.

â??(Detectives) are going to look into it,â? Koopman said. â??(They) are aware of the cases and are going to see if there is any correlation between them.â?
