Calgary: International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers

Recommended Posts

What is Red Umbrella Day? The red umbrella was adopted in 2002 by Venetian sex workers for an anti-violence march as a symbol of resistance against discrimination of sex workers worldwide. The day calls attention to the hate crimes, violence, and discrimination that sex workers face while urging the public to respect the rights of sex workers.
