One of the women was breaching court and police-imposed conditions. She was held for bail hearing. The other woman was released with police-imposed conditions, only to be found the next day breaching those conditions, said police. She was arrested and charged with breach of undertaking. While in custody, she damaged a police vehicle and was subsequently charged with mischief. Officers charged seven men with communication for the purpose of prostitution. Six of them were released to attend court at a later date. One of the men was also charged with trafficking a controlled substance and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing. Two of the men arrested were not residents of Sudbury. The Greater Sudbury Police Service said it is working with the community and its community partners, not only to enforce the laws regarding prostitution, but to also determine the causes which lead up to the commission of these offences. This includes offering post-charge diversion by way of John School or Jane School. The Greater Sudbury Police Service will continue to enforce our laws in attempts to deter prostitution and human trafficking http://www.northernlife.ca/news/policeandCourt/2013/05/30-prostitution-sweep-sudbury.aspx
