Just a heads up to fellow cerbites.

I got a call today from my insurance Co. They advised me that my drivers licence was expired. Sure enough, I looked at the back of my licence and as it turns out, I have been driving with an expired licence for more than 6 months. I went lickity split to the MTO to renew. While I was there, I did explain that I had no idea and that I didn't recall receiving my renewal notice. The girl advised that it has been happening a lot lately because all they send now is a little postcard type notice and not the usual envelope perforated on each side. She said that people have been mistaking the new notice for junk mail.

So friends, you may want to double check to make sure that your licence has not expired.

Just trying to help.

Cheers

In NB they send no notice at all unless you sign up for their Email system, and if you do that you Must renew by Email on the internet, and they alway Scr#w something up if you do it that way

Also, in Ontario, parts of MTO have been on strike for almost 6 months. They just went back on Jan. 4.

I always renew the week before my birthday so it is never an issue for me.
