  1. Women of CERB: You are preaching to the choir. However many of your competitors on BP, as well as some members of CERB will negotiate their rate depending on how busy they are.It is an industry norm.Even many agencies will reduce their fee on occasion.Just look how many ads there are on CERB advertising "specials". If I have seen that you have advertised a special, I will ask if it is still available. What is the harm in that?

Instead of being insulted just good naturally reply " Not today, but I'll let you know if i ever have a special for new clients" or "hah ha good try, but I''ll give you the time of your life for my regular rate". If you get insulted and respond accordingly you will turn potential clients off. These potential clients could be "cash cows" in the future.

Most people that I know who are self employed, have varying rates depending on how busy they are and whether they want to attract potential clients.

Some of my regulars i have met through a discounted rate. They were so good that I was quite prepared to pay "full freight" on repeat visits.

  2. Congratulations and good luck Sara! From the few times I have seen you on chat you seem like an amazing person. I wish you all the best on all the new endeavours and adventures you are about to embark upon!! Take care' date=' be safe and smile lots!![/quote']

And i'm guessing you will be next to jump the ship. So for all of you who haven't met Michaella....act fast.

  3. If someone starts off a text without an introduction by just saying "rates?" "address?", what will they be like in person? Just shows they have no regard for the SP so when people send me those kinds of texts, I don't answer back. If a guy can't address an SP properly, it tells me a lot about their character.

Don't be so hard. Men don't communicate the same way as women.. Some just get right to the point in emails/texts.

Typical male texting to arrange a play date.

    Man 1 "beer?"

    Man 2 "where"

Man 1" Big Rig at 5"

    Man 2 " k"

  4. One has to first ask themselves some relevant questions:

    1. Was it a paved road?

    2. Was it really a road or perhaps merely a gravel path?

    3. If was merely a gravel path, then it wasn't a road at all now was it??!

    4. Now that we've established that it was just a gravel path and not a bloody road, what was the point of this pol...oh, never mind.

Sorry. I know the OP didn't want this to turn into an argument. My bad.:icon_biggrin:

  5. CH, I hate to say this, but you really don't know what you're talking about and whenever you post about this subject you put out misleading information. And what YOU think on the matter is largely irrelevant to what sex workers (the people the laws affect the most) have to say on the matter.

That's all I will say on this subject.

If you really want your poll to be correct regarding prostitution laws and clear, your options should be :

    1. Full criminalization

    2. Partial criminalization (eg the Swedish Model)

    3. Legalization (regulation by the state)

    4. Decriminalization.

    The end.

And again, the reason the living off the avails law is a problem is that we don't need it. Exploitative relationships (what you characterize as pimping) is covered by the already extensive laws in the criminal code regarding theft, fraud, kidnapping, extortion and so on. Second, the courts have not defined what is considered "exploitation." Third, it is paternalistic to have laws specifically for sex workers--we're not a special class of people who need special laws, the ones we've got will do just fine thanks.

Great post. Berlin why don't you start a new poll so we can vote on the real issue. You are obviously well informed on the issue and your poll would have a certain level of legitimacy.

  6. I'm not sure what you mean by illegal activities. For example what is wrong in asking an MPA what her restrictions are, or if she ever does bj ending. Lots do bj ending, and those are who I want to spend my $$ on.

Also i don't think its so bad to ask if there are any special rates today (especially in a snow storm). Lots of MPAs and SPs advertise specials on CERB. Maybe they have one going and I missed their ad.

  7. I love the "best bj " threads. Everyone loves a good bj. It's a great way to think of trying someone new; especially if they mention a few, and I've had a positive experience with one of a contributor's suggestion.

Keep the "Best of" threads coming.

The ones I'm not interested in , (eg best BDSM), I just skip over.
