I certainly am very happy for her, and I wish her nothing but the best in her new life.

I had been seeing her quite regularly, (although not excluding others), during the last year and a half.

She was one of the sweetest persons I have had the chance to meet.

Interesting topic, and I have read every post from the begining.

For me, (a guy in his mid 50's who doesn't do relationships), for many years SP has not only been a way to help with the loneliness, but also a way to find sex.

Porn has always been a part of my life, and SP is also a way to do those things that I have seen on the screen for many, many years.

The unfortunate part for me is twofold:

Very interesting thread. It is good to see the many different viewpoints. I myself have been asking myself this very same question for sometime now. In reading the posts in this thread, it has helped me to think and to realize. It is possible to be friends with an SP, but in most cases it would be considered to be a "non-traditional" type of friendship as far as mainstream society goes. I think a "traditional" friendship would not be something that would happen often. My 2 cents.
