  1. There aren’t any bonafide agencies in HRM at the moment. For the most part, they are relics of a bygone era in these parts (Think Park Avenue and Gentlemen’s Club). However,  Halifax has a thriving independent scene. There are also some agencies based in Montreal and Toronto which send their ladies here in regular rotation. E.g.(YFL, and for a time GOE - not sure if they still do, though). You may find some ladies working together which may fit the bill, akin to some now defunct sites such as Halifax Hot Models (now there’s a blast from the past! lol) and the former website maintained by Nikki Ménage some years ago, for those of you who remember.

This will depend if your phone is unlocked or not. According the Petro-Can website, all their phones should be.

I bought the phone in 2015… does that make a difference? Eg. I’m not sure if their phones were unlocked at that time, and I don’t know if this would affect the working of the phone with another carrier, even if their phones are unlocked now.

  3. I’m trying to top up my prepaid Petro-Canada burner phone online, and it keeps coming up with an error message saying the transaction was interrupted since they had trouble connecting to the server. It’s been an ongoing issue for a few days… Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, in light of this I was thinking of switching to Chatr. Can I buy a Chtr sim on Amazon and put it in my old Petro-Canada phone and sign up for prepaid service with them, or do I have to buy a new phone at the store? Thanks!

  4. Personally, I wouldn’t tell an SO. I made that mistake once already, well actually twice! Lol. I once dated a girl who happened to be a former escort. I wasn’t aware of it at the start of the relationship, but she told me after a few months.

I figured since we were being honest, I might as well come clean, too. Note that I only see escorts when I’m single, not when I’m dating someone. In any case, she just about hit the roof! She went on and on and on about it… how could I do such a thing etc etc.. Boy, talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!! 😂 Needless to say, that was pretty much the end for us.

Another time, I told a close female friend about it with similar results. She didn’t talk  to me for about two weeks, and then acted as though nothing had happened. We never spoke of it again lol. Incidentally, we’re still friends 20 years later. 😊

I don't want to be a downer. But by the time the law will be replaced or fixed, many of us(including myself) will be retired from the hobby.

The current law is not great, but not impossible to live with. Many adult businesses and establishments were able to adapt. And for clients, it's not hard to simply NOT ASK FOR SEX!

There will always be people taking advantage of others. But most cases are avoidable,

Educating ourselves and learning from past mistakes, can make a big difference.

I agree… it’s much safer to ask for a lady’s time or just companionship. One aspect I’m still confused about is this: There are numerous reputable ladies who advertise on sites where services are explicitly spelled out. So, even if a client is buying time as opposed to sex, if by chance it ever went to court for whatever reason, it would be difficult to feign ignorance in this regard.

Hard to say as C-36 was created in reaction to the Canada Attorney General vs Bedford case. The Supreme Court of Canada struck down Canada's prostitution laws.

But we can expect years before pending cases return the Supreme Court. And if C-36 or parts of are struck down again, we can expect a few more years before any new laws or amendments.

I was thinking we might see some action by the SCC by about 2025 or so… Also, as you said - if parts of the law are struck down again we may end up in a grey area of de facto decriminalization until new amended laws are passed. However, by that point the conservatives will likely be back on power so what might happen then is anyone’s guess…

Small claims courts only make decisions on specific limited situations. No matter if the case is rejected or in favor of the provider, this won't change current laws and enforcement.

Keep in mind C-36 was already challenged multiple times and this will continue until updated.

  8. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the stunning Isabella this afternoon. The photos don’t even begin to do her justice… she’s way more attractive in person. After she arrived, we engaged in some conversation and got to know one another. Isabella is someone who can put anyone at ease instantly, and I liked her bubbly and easy going nature. Without getting into too much detail, I can honestly say she left me exhausted, but still wanting more! The hour went by too quickly, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing her again and again. If you need a prescription for an amazing time, let’s just say she’s just what the doctor ordered!

Keep in mind the PC Party was nearly completely wiped out after the 1993 election(from 156 to 2 seats). Took eleven years to rebuild.

Again, not claiming he's better. But at least most people know who he is. Lisa Raitt would have also been a far better choice than the guy most would confuse with a used car salesman. Right now, no politicians will touch C-36 until a high court force them to. And that no matter who's elected.

Agreed. However, do you feel a constitutional challenge to C-36 will ever make its way to the SCC? I ask because the Crown decided not to appeal the recent decision of the lower courts concerning the Anwar case, likely because they realized they’d lose. Now, things seem stuck where they are, and C-36 is still in force in it’s entirety outside of Ontario. Therefore , the status quo remains. Thoughts / discussion?

Considering the list of pending lawsuits and criminal charges, I doubt he would be able to cross the border.

Also, Peter MacKay should be leader. He created/united that party, only fair for him to lead it. Even if not really better, at least most people know who he is. Unlike who the f...k the Tool or O guy is...

With all due respect, I could never support Mr. Mackay. I feel the Conservatives were better off as the PC party - Merging with the Canadian Alliance / Reform party was like making a deal with the devil, imo. Most importantly, he, along with Joy Smith was the architect of C-36 to our collective detriment.

My understanding was the neighbors banded together and bought the place.  That small patch of Dartmouth under went some gentrification and the GC was a casualty.  I stand to be corrected though.

I knew the house had been sold, but wasn’t aware to whom. That would make sense, though... I know the next door neighbours were pretty pissed off about being woken up at 3:00am every night by drunk guys pounding on their door looking for women! Lol 😆
