  1. Guess without Rob Ford still as the mayor, no champion for the SC.

I sincerely hope not! Zanzibar is an institution! I first visited approx 40 years ago - it is what it is, and quality varies, but no stroll up Yonge St. is complete without a pit-stop at Zanzibar! But hey, Sam the Record Man closed too!

  2. I still am the brew and pot guy, but have a thermal pot, so it stay hot and doesn't need heat under it, which typically makes the coffee taste awful, pretty fast. In fact, I just microwave the next day, and don't waste much coffee. So, I figure about $10 for coffee, which equates to about 10c per cup.

Then I have more money for fun things in life. :-)

  3. So I really think we have become a victim of the retailer and bought into the whole it is better and we should spoil ourselves and get a better coffee (I could probably replace that word with a million other ones).

At the margin it is better, and perhaps spoil ourselves every now and then, but it has become an everyday staple. As to the coffee, give me the old fashion coffee maker, I will gladly buy the coffee in bulk and will dispose of the grounds as per normal.

Let me see, what do I save. Perhaps $50 dollars a month, $600 a year, and $3,000 every 5 years. And for this, I would take a lovely vacation in the South. So, which is it, snotty coffee or a nice vacation, you chose.... I know which one I would take.

  4. Maybe give the test version for a small amount first, and then see what you think.

Hey you never know, could be the gem of the century.

    Hey all,

Need some advice. A younger women who is an acquaintance started flirting with me in Facebook tonight. This women is 11 years younger than me and very good looking, out of my league. I flirted back and she then made a suggestion that I could have her for 6 months if I paid for her to go down south on a trip. We discussed and she suggested we meet, pay her a small amount and if I like the experience we go from there.

I am turned on by this and intrigued but I am also kinda cautious, I've read some scary stories.

    Any advice?

  5. So, I have now limited myself to just asking about rates, nothing else, seems to be the safest route.

Can we just ask about rates, and still be okay?

I figure that will mean less screening, and greater chance of disappointments.

    What does everyone think?

Perhaps over time, things will normalize, but am more inclined to stick with knowns, regardless of a love of variety. Such maybe life. :-(

  6. I believe that Ebony lady mostly went by the name "Sally", but changed that when she move from the Mate to Fax, since "Sally" was already owned by one of the Fax ladies.

  7. I do think you need to have a bit of a special relationship, at least that is what I found. Maybe tough on the first visit. But then again, really depends on the comfort level of the lady. If she is willing to do BBBJCIM, snowballing isn't much beyond that. And if you kiss after BBBJCIM, you might get a little cum anyway.

Not sure why this was thought to be unsafe, beyond BBBJCIM. Seems pretty obvious.

  8. I have to say at the end of the day, guys ask to confirm things, regardless of what ladies put in your ad. This way you feel that everything was clear up front. Your ads are helpful, but don't expect that they will avoid questions that are in the ads.

I am not saying don't put it in your ad, just don't expect that will avoid questions, some of the questions are ice breakers too.

  9. Not really sure what it is with all these on the edge type of people. Robin Williams was very cunning, awesome actor, but obviously needed to have a high all the time with work, etc. And when you don't have it, hard to find the right place in life.... very tragic and sad.

  10. Jabba,

The main point was that why people often have strong, mostly negative views when they think someone breached edict or rules, and why once someone raises a point, it is like everyone needs to chime in on the same point.

And the one post in particular (and this was a relatively minor one) was a recommendation on Beautiful Delilah that was posted in both the Ottawa (generally her home city) and NL (where she was seen). It is like everyone is the rules cop, and if you read the rules carefully, it was not unreasonable judgement that they could post in both places. That said, some thought otherwise, and even when presented a perspective and rationale why it might have been a reasonable to have posted in both placed and asked if it is a reasonable interpretation, refuse to respond. To me, it was pretty clear the rules were vague enough.

The result can be that it basically can scare someone away from posting again for fear of the repercussions. It happens with some frequency, and often even continues after the original poster apologizes, and accepts the points.

Anyways, time for me to move on from this post.

OP- Can you expand a little about your thoughts?

  11. Thanks Gabrielle.

I don't think it is absolutely necessary to have posted in multiple cities, but I don't think it is wrong either.

And it is a fine line about whether guys are providing some support in promoting you or whether you have to do it yourself. If you have no recommendations anywhere, you wouldn't have any link to provide, so recommendation do provide the vehicle for ladies to promote themselves.

For me, I might use several search tools, but one is to look for the lady in the city I think I would see her, I don't always look in the other cities, nor use the global search tool.

  12. RG, this is my exact point. I don't think it is obvious, why one wouldn't post in the city of origin of the SP, so that if someone is searching for someone in her city of origin, that they can see a post of the lady, even though she was seen in another city.

The not adding to an existing recommendation aside, if you knew a lady came from a specific city, wouldn't you be happy to see any recommendation of her, regardless of whether she was seen elsewhere. And to solve the problem of which city, the poster posted in both locations, seems perfect, solves both dilemma. So, I think the logic is reasonable, yet others seem to think their way is the right way. I could support either view, rather than only see one side of the point.

Well I have to disagree that it isn't clear that you post recommendations in the city you saw the SP. The recommendation forums are organized by province/city which would lead one to reasonably conclude you post your recommendation of a lady in the city you saw that lady in. Otherwise why would it have been organized as such on CERB

Second, this wasn't the first recommendation this gentleman wrote. So he had to be familiar with how recommendations are to be posted on CERB

Third, perhaps go to the rules

    http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_rules

GENERAL - MOST IMPORTANT TO READ RULE Some things are NOT in the rules as they are too OBVIOUS for the need to have to SPELL OUT but still some people will say "That is not in the rules" and expect to get away with doing something they know is WRONG.

If you are disrupting the site, being annoying, abusing the site, spamming the site or in general being rude or unpleasant to anyone you will not be welcome. It's very simple. Please read ALL the rules before posting.

Maybe the rules on where to post recommendations is not explicitly spelled out because it is seen as too obvious. Especially when the recommendation forums are organized by province/city and the poster is experienced at writing recommendations

    Anyhow, my two cents

    RG

  13. Jessica, well put, you have been extremely gracious through this whole process. Standing up for what you believe in is important, and those that don't try to look at the bigger picture, broader perspective, haven't shown the openmindedness that you have shown. I for one, think you have made a great contribution with your efforts.
