  3. Awesome! We are going to have a candle-light vigil, a few singers, a poetry slam by Annie Temple, a couple drag shows and then a dj with some dancing. Looks like there is a pro-decrim leafletting event and a protest at the old police station happening. Lot's going on in Vancouver. What else is going on around Canada?
  4. December 17th is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. This event was created to call attention to hate crimes committed against sex workers all over the globe. International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers has empowered workers from cities around the world to come together and organize against discrimination and remember victims of violence. Existing laws prevent sex workers from reporting violence. The stigma and discrimination that is perpetuated by the prohibitionist laws has made violence against us acceptable. Please join with sex workers around the world and stand against criminalization and violence committed against sex workers. We will be hosting a gathering open to all those who support our anti-violence campaign. There will be a few presentations and then dancing after. December 17th 2011 8pm-midnite Prophouse Cafe 1636 Venables Vancouver BC Suggested donation $5. Nobody turned away at the door.

  7. I just answered her questions in an interview, and she is trying to help make things better for us! Here is an idea of what she will ask: General interview topics/themes General Information ? Where in Canada have you worked ? In what parts of the industry ? For how long Issues around licensing ? Have you ever worked an adult entertainment job that required you obtain a business license? ? If so did you choose to buy one? Was it good value for money, benefits, process of obtaining the license, terms and conditions, impacts (or not) on health and safety, relationships with by-law officers and the police, did you have different experiences in different cities or in different parts of the industry, were there changes over time, were the terms of the license restrictive or useful in your work? If you decided not to buy a license what were the reasons? ? If you have never been required to work under a license how have you found negotiating the legalities surrounding your work, have you had access to information and support, health and safety information, rights around labour/employment, police protection if necessary? What type of information surrounding legalities would be useful to adult entertainers working in the areas of the industry you have worked in? ? Is licensing an effective way of regulating adult entertainment? By-laws ? Do you feel the by-laws surrounding adult entertainment impact your daily working life? If so how? ? How much accessible information is there available on the legalities of adult entertainment for workers? What sort of information would be useful? ? Are by-laws ever enforced (for example in Vancouver, there is a by-law that prohibits phone sex) - if so how and by who? ? Opinions generally on by-laws and licensing as a system of regulation. Other ? Opinions on the current legal system in terms of regulating adult entertainment in Canada ? criminal code - municipal by-laws ? licensing - different from city to city. ? Law and impacts on health and safety of adult entertainers. ? Law and stigma. I highly recommend and MPA's, SP's, or adult entertainers of any kind to volunteer to help with this research.

  16. If they just want to chat... it's usually because they are looking for a free phone sex session. I try to keep a 2 minute rule. If they try to chat longer than that, it's because they are looking at My gallery on My site and beating off while chatting about services offered. just My thoughts....

  20. Naked Truth's Exotic Dancers for Cancer Event, April 28 at the Cecil, Vancouver VANCOUVER, BC: It has been seven years since that first dark day when local strippers began their depraved campaign of seduction to raise funds for the private parts of women. This abomination continues on Wednesday, April 28th, when the den of evil called the Cecil Hotel will host the Seventh Annual Exotic Dancers for Cancer from 7 p.m. till 2 a.m. Unsuspecting revellers will be lured and seduced into attending this festival of the flesh by a mere $20 donation at the door. Told they will receive ?bags of porn? for arriving early and tempted by promises of swaying, naked bodies, ordinary men and women will find themselves compelled through bewitchery to witness sexual exhibitionism as if it was a form of entertainment. Indeed, the harlots call themselves artists. But they paint with a brush dipped in lust. They will raise more than just funds with their nudity, merchandise sales, and silent auction. They will flaunt themselves in the audience. Make no mistake. They will tempt you. They will tease you. They will overpower your senses. Please join us as we observe the witches perform their ritual. But beware. If you decide to join in the fun, you may become sexually liberated forever. Proceeds to Rethink Breast Cancer. More info at http://www.nakedtruth.ca. Ways you can help: - Donate old/new promotional materials for our bags of porn: posters, magnets, lighters, stickers, keychains, etc. This is a great way to promote yourself too! You can put your website info or where you are performing, or whatever, to help promote yourself. We will be handing out 100 - 150 bags of porn. - Donate products or services to the silent auction, raffle, door prizes. In return, we will include your company info in a thank you that is sent out in every gift bag. Your company name will also be posted beside your donation (for silent auction gifts), and we will announce a thank you during the night. - Donate a show. Get naked for charity! Actually, clothing removal is optional. The Cecil is donating the cost of dancer?s shows to the fundraising efforts. Burlesque dancers and other performers (if appropriate to the theme) are invited to participate. - Volunteer. We need help with setup, takedown, front door, t-shirt sales, promoting the event, and more. Please let us know if you?re willing to help out! Thanks! - Invite your friends! Even if you can?t come, please tell your friends about it. Thanks for all your help! Xoxxxox Annie [email protected] (I do not claim to be Annie Temple, I just promised I would spread the word about the event!)
