River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay. An alternate history of Tang dynasty China by one of Canada's best. Kay's style is almost poetry.

I'm reading "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah. Its about 2 sisters who live in France during WWII and the hardship they faced. One of the best books I've read in a long time! Can't wait to read more from this author, her way with words is incredible.
