has there ever been a bust on an independant escort

Recommended Posts

Just out of curiosity, I thought I would ask this since many of us are either currently involved in or are interested in attending in calls with Sp's who privately run their own business out of their homes/ apartments. Has anyone every herd of a case where a bust has occurred in these circumstances (provided there was no drugs or violence)?

I have tried to search the net and it seems busts are only made on brothels where a number of workers are at....

"The maximum penalty for the summary offence of soliciting is six months in jail or a $2,000 fine"

Does this mean that for one of us to be caught in a bawdy house, this could be the penalty or would we just get a little fine or a warning like is the case where one is caught with a little weed?

soliciting is not illegal in private, only in a public place (like in a car, side of the street, etc.... stuff a streetwalker would need to do). the charge for a incall is "keeping or being found in a common bawdy house"

very different

Yes it happens periodically. The risk of you getting busted is small but real nonetheless. Same as seeing an SP in a hotel, if she sees more than one client in her room there is a feeling this would be interpreted as "keeping a common bawdy house". Again so long as the lady and client's are discrete and the hotel doesen't report the activity the chances of getting busted are low.

The only "safe" activity is incall where you see the lady at your home or hotel, this is currently legal.

Also you should avoid ladies where legal age may be questionable, as these ladies are more likely to be the target of police, obviously seeing an underage lady is illegal in any situation.

As to what punishment you would rec'v if found guilty that would be up to a judge and would depend on many factors (criminal record, local politics, etc). You can be sure though if underage girls are involved the hammer will come down hard.

It's a summary conviction. From the Criminal Code, the maximum penalty that could be applied:

210.... (2) Every one who .... (b) is found, without lawful excuse, in a common bawdy-house ... is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

787. (1) Unless otherwise provided by law, everyone who is convicted of an offence punishable on summary conviction is liable to a fine of not more than five thousand dollars or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months or to both.

my bet is that it usually never happens except if they are underage, illegally in Canada, drug, pimp related or related with other criminal activities.most of the well experienced providers move frequently each 6 to 12 months and always change their hotel location.i read in the newspaper that some agencies and massage parlors get bust, but i am not sure if they are related to other criminal activities.
