I tried to post a review there for the fabulous Foxy, and was told that they were no longer accepting EC advertised providers. If anyone has any more info, please share. short1 102 Report post Posted June 22, 2008 The first reason given was that they (TER) wouldn't post any information from competing escort review sites. I e-mailed back saying that EC was an advertising site only, and submitted my review again, only to be told that they were no longer accepting EC advertisers, with no further explanation. I've noticed that the administrators of TER have removed the EC website references from their existing reviews, and now just say report new website. short1 102 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 I googled David Elms and found a lot of articles on this sleazy weasel and his despicable ways. While still a great resource for the industry (providers and hobbyists alike) these allegations make me look at the site a little differently. I spend a fair amount of time in the states, and find the reviews to be a great help in setting up meetings, I've found some great experiences through this site. I'm hoping someone with a stronger sense of ethics ends up with this site and runs it properly. Maybe I'm a little thick, but I don't see how all this causes TER to ban ads from Ec. EC has it's own review/recommendation board, and no one likes competition. Many review sites don't allow external competing web links. mod 135639 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 You know a few years ago Dave (Dave in Phoenix) who is the owner or ter from my understanding was posting on all the review sites and was fairly well liked. I remember back in the days of lyla.com Dave was posting about his travels and was well known (and liked) to other members for his good info. I don't recall off hand anyone ever saying he was doing wrong or using this to his advantage... also that site is very popular so it probably makes pretty good money from the advertisers so why would he blackmail a SP and take the chance of damaging the sites reputation or his own? If the site is making good money as he could just use the revenue for his own hobbing. It doesn't make a lot of sense really but anything is possible so don't take this the wrong way! I am just saying it could it be a set up... but if the charges are legit I do hope he gets convicted as I agree 100% that no one should blackmail another person. Have any of the ladies here been approached by anyone from ter offering good reviews in exchange with sexual favors? PM me please if you have (or know of someone who has). I don't like to string someone up unless we have all the facts. We all know that just because someone is charged for something does not make them guilty so be sure not to judge until you feel you have substantial information to go either way. Back to the original problem... ter and cerb are not competitive sites and they know that for sure... banning escorts-canada from ter would be silly as escorts-canada is such a popular site in Canada for escorts but I do know other directories do pay for advertising on that site so maybe they agreed to some exclusive thing with ter. If he has lawyer fee's I could see the need to do something like that. I am not sure so I did send a email and hopefully we can clear that up either way. Many people enjoy ter and I do recall a few years ago that the bigdog site had some legal trouble as well and they are still online and alive.... so we will just have to wait and see what happens. mod 135639 Report post Posted June 26, 2008 What it probably is due to is that if the lady stops running her ad with EC then the link goes dead to her ad... we have no problems with TER and as far as I know they have no issues with us. TER is a good resource and had grown significantly over the years, people are trying to get them shut down (Other sites went thru the same stuff as well in the USA)... After trying to once again post my review of the wonderful Foxy, it was refused on the original premise that Escorts Canada is a competing review site. When I wrote back and asked how Tawny of Victoria had a review posted on June 25, since her only ad was on EC, I was told by the TER administrators that the Escorts Canada website was no longer online!! WTF!?!? How can they be so ignorant? Anyway, TER is no longer on my radar. Too bad, since they were once upon a time a resource I depended on, but now have lost all credibility in my eyes.
