"I'd write a recco for you any day" I know that's not something you can do, but it sure made my day. If it were possible what would you consider as a reason for a similar compliment. I think it's probably the little things we do, so I'm not really looking for the routine and obvious. Maybe some of your clients will take a hint based on what you have to say.
