As of Tuesday, OS X 10.9 Mavericks is available to for download. And best of all... it's Free!

Anyone interested in updating their Macs may want to wait for the first update.

Since it's only available as a download, you can create your very own bootable USB installation drive for a fresh install.

Here is a link on how to do it.

Is there any word on it's capabilities?

 

As I understand it Mavericks have a tendency to feel the need, the need for speed.
