Tax preparation for sex workers

Recommended Posts

My tax accountant is 'adult industry worker friendly' and does My taxes. He told Me I could pass his contact info if anyone wants to have a reliable, affordable, non-judgmental tax preparer.

I am located in Ontario, but I add up My receipts from all related stuff from Domme work, attach My t4's from my square work and then mail it to him. I have been claiming money from the adult film, web cam and Domme work for as long as I have been in the biz, (6 years), and it was only until the last 3 years I started saving receipts from work expenses, and now I can make money back!

A client of mine on another board who is an accountant in T.O. has done taxes for other ladies in the adult industry. I highly recommend him. PM if you wish to contact him via PM.

Ladies,

I am just curious about what expense claims you are permited to make.

I am going to list what I think is legit, but I am NOT a tax expert and I could be wrong, so please correct me.

- advertising

- special outfits

- condoms and lube

- hotel rooms

- if you see clients in your home/apartment, then some portion of the rent/mortgage as well as utilities

- toys

- wine/beer if you offer it

- professional photo services

I am sure I missed other expenses, ... just add to the list people.
