I find this thread very interesting...
I have clients who are friends...we have great sex, we shop, we talk on the phone, email, chat online, go for coffee/lunch/dinner/drinks... we send each other birthday cards, give each other little gifts...to me this is a friendship...it is a mutual enjoyment of each others company...when one of these clients books a session for an hour, I will automatically allocate extra time because I want to spend time catching up or going for lunch prior to or following our session...
I also have friends who are clients...friends who over time decided they wanted to see me in my professional capacity...it is virtually the same as the above scenario...
Social time isn't listed in my advertising at all...it used to be but I removed it...I found I don't feel comfortable providing strictly social time...I know my time is valuable and this is my livelihood but quite frankly, if I want to share that time with my friends/clients, I'll do it because it means more to me than simply a business transaction...this is just the way I operate obviously...many wonderful SPs provide "date" packages...it just doesn't work for me...
In all this time, I have only had one client who became such a good friend that I could no longer have him as a client...we don't have sex as friends either - although if the situation allowed, I could see it happening...and then I would charge him for a session... :D
