I have opened two groups here but this one is different to start with because I can't entirely take credit for it. A couple of days ago received a PM from a member asking me if I knew of a group one could join for emotional support. I felt terrible for not being able to help so I came up with this idea, a group where we can either visit when feeling a little sad or to offer support to others so we now have 'Chicken soup for the Cerbites Soul' which will hopefully help many and make those tough times little easier :) xoxo Isabella Gia

I believe that this thread is officially out of control. A post was made asking if anyone on cerb is aware of any sp's in the west end that offer the most affordable rates. There was no question of discount, nor a mention of specials. This was a post requesting recomendations from members of a recomendation board. At what point did we decide to attack members of this community for utilizing the board for exactly what this community is built for. Why? DoM Posted via Mobile Device

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't mind that "special time" at all. Granted, there are certain things I won't do (specifically daty) but my experience from girls I've been with is that they are especially horny during that time (or is that my imagination?) Again, I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't mind the "mess." Just don't use your good sheets! Alternatively, using the shower works really well. I've never been with an SP during her time, but as long as she made me aware, I think it would be fine. That way the client can make up their own mind whether or not they want to go ahead. I think most guys would appreciate being told up front.

I know this is not anything new but violence against sex workers does not get the same treatment or coverage as it would if the person or persons involved were not sex workers. On the front page of Thursday's edition of the CH was a story about the "dramatic" rescue of a deer that someone was keeping as a pet which apparently is against the law. Who knew? http://thechronicleherald.ca/NovaScotia/1202232.html Meanwhile buried on page 9 is this story http://thechronicleherald.ca/Metro/1202211.html Here is a story about a man who is being charged for the second time in six months with the kidnapping, sexual assault and torture of a sex worker he is also the main suspect in the disappearance of a third sex worker who has not been seen or heard from for over two months. So a story about a pet deer gets front page coverage while a story about a serial kidnapper/rapist/and probable murderer gets a page 9 rating. I can't help but wonder if these three women were 'respected citizens" would this still be a page 9 story?

Too bad shortcake, it will be so unfortunate. Additional Comments: Hey Nicki, great of you to step up an offer. I plan to be there, and hope that everyone has learnt from the past. Too bad we need a new venue, the last one was perfect in that it was a separate room and quite isolated from other areas. Hopefully we can find something as nice, and that we can enjoy like the last.

It happens when people are treated as second class, or for that matter, third or fourth class citizens. And it's wrong and repulsive SP's are someone's daughter, sister and/or mother. And it's why when people use terms such as whore, hookers, streetwalkers etc it objectifies and demeans, and allows "mainstream" society to see SP's as something less than a real person. And IMHO using such terms reinforces the negative view that mainstream" society has of SP's. Finally as a closing note, I've been hobbying since July, and all I have had the pleasure of meeting are ladies RG

Just because the ferris wheel is out of order, ya don't close down the whole amusement park, right?

Hmmm ... I would not be so sure about that as I have read many ads here offering specials which in the end is a discount only using a different word. I personally don't find his post offensive plus think when posting he knew he would probably get no response, but don't think he was expecting negative responses though as in my opinion his post was written in a respectful way and he probably already got some PM's from ladies asking what his budget is as he did not especify how 'inexpensive' he's looking for oh, and I don't think inexpensive = cheap. Let's also not forget some here are 'people of few words' and have a hard time trying to put in words the idea we are trying to express.

This is a classic example of how confusing the expectations are. I agree that if an SP either responded by PM or posted on this thread, they actually could be suspended for it. It would be hard to believe this would fit the bill of an unsolicited response, but at the same time, who really knows. So, please threads like this should not be started, it can only lead to outcomes that are undesirable.
