  1. You see a lot of interesting body art in this industry which is rather intriquing, and must say I've always wondered about having a small one done.  I came across a tv show which does brief cameos of various innovative Canadian tattoo artists. The show is called "Art Hurts", and can be found on the CBC online service GEM. Might  want to take a look

Went to see the ophthalmologist today and after two+ hours going through testing, exams and of course waiting diagnosis...I need surgery to fix a tear on my retina (many many many years ago a optometrist saw it and just said use a jel that I could get OTC from any pharmacy if my eye bothered me. This ophthalmologist (and surgeon) very unimpressed by that optometrist...I'd give him his name but I don't remember who he was.

Anyhow on May 2nd I go under the knife...'er laser.  Not looking forward to it, last time I saw someone about to be lasered it was James Bond in Goldfinger. GF failed and JB got Pussy Galore but I don't think he'd repeat the laser experience LOL

Many years ago I had the doctor tack down a similar tear using a laser and found it was quick and painless, done in his office, and forestalled continued deterioration. Eye care has come a long way, hope you have a similar positive outcome.

Filled up the truck before the damned carbon tax comes into effect tomorrow.

Province got rid of e testing vehicles, now the feds stick it to us with a carbon tax.  Wonder if the environment has really been helped by all these additional costs put on drivers or it's just some round about way of gouging us

    Grumble over

    RG

The conservatives i.e. Ford and co are great about bitching about doing something for the environment, but don't seem able or willing to come up with an alternative solution. The majority of people will be getting back most or all of their carbon tax contribution.

  4. I just got a new OnePlus6T phone, couldn't get one locally so had to order it online. Shipping was free, it was sent from California and arrived the next day. It's a Chinese brand ( they are really building some great phones these days ) with great specs and I'm really impressed with it. One positive is that it supports dual sims, so when I travel I only need to carry one phone.

It was a sickening way to wake up this morning, hearing on the radio the father arrested for killing his 11 year old daughter (sorry guess we should say allegedly killing, he hasn't gone to Court yet)

What ads to this sickening story is the attitude of some people that the Amber Alert woke them up...like FFS the police want to save a child's life and use this as a tool to do so.  Unfortunately it didn't work in time, but to complain your sleep got disrupted, frankly it's sickening.  And BTW twice I was awakened because of two alerts...so what. https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/disappointing-and-upsetting-peel-cops-shocked-after-amber-alert-for-missing-girl-draws-complaints  I bet a lot of those complainers are parents who'd like all stops pulled out including using Amber Alert if it was their child abducted.  Complainers should be ashamed

    My WTF and rant over

    RG

And you also get the complainers suggesting that the software isn't right because it over road their do not disturb setting, my suggestion is if they don't want to be disturbed at night just turn the phone off.

  6. Interestingly I had to have a colonoscipy the year following my wife's death. As they had given me Demirol on a prior occasion to lessen the discomfort during the procedure, it was necessary that I had someone to get me home following the procedure. On this occasion I showed up by my self so was given several options, I chose to go ahead "sans drugs" not wanting to go through the cleansing preparations again. It's kind of like getting dental work without being frozen. Better be safe than sorry.

    Ouch !!!

Good choice. I don't own an Orient watch, but own two Seiko's. A SKX007 diver and the classy SARB033 that rival Swiss watches. I once considered Orient, but went with Seiko after finding an online store selling JDM automatic watches.

Hope you'll enjoy it for a long time.

I do have a Seiko SARB 065, a very pretty cocktail time, and it's a JDL. I got it through Island Watch, and I see he'll sell modified Seikos to your specs, new crystal, hands, and bracelet. Only problem is it's in US currency.
