  1. pigales used to have beautiful stage shows.. you could tell the girls practiced or at least put a lot of thought and effort into their stage dancing. I think the whole industry has gone sort of downhill and girls nowadays just don't care about stage or other finer aspects of being a stripper. :)
  2. K..... here's what I've seen happening at clubs in Ottawa lately, from a dancer's viewpoint: guys are bringing girlfriends, wives, female acquaintances, etc. into the club who want to seem "ok" with coming to a strip club. But in reality most of the time they seem to be there to keep tabs on their boyfriend or husband/ judge the dancers/ see if the dancers are hotter than them or not... and I think give the club a weird vibe. Come in on any night now and you're guaranteed to see that a good percentage of the 'customers' are female (I use the term loosely since they tend to be very tight with their money while in the club)! 90% don't spend a dollar on dancers, they sit near the stage, sometimes with bitch faces in full force, get drunk and try to dance, and distract male customers they are with. Myself and many dancers at work DO NOT appreciate men bringing a female date to the club for the very reason above- you don't spend money with them there! If guys want to bring a girl customer with him for whatever reason, do us a favour and spend money on the dancers while you're with her! Or have her open her purse while she's there. It'll make us strippers a lot happier, guaranteed. And no, you can't sit and drink with your female friend in an upstairs VIP booths for free- you have to pay the club to sit there like people said on here, and they're mostly meant for doing 1/2 hour or hour VIPs with dancers. * These are just some of my frustrations about female customers coming into clubs... I know not all of you bring them in, but it amazes me that guys think their status raises in strippers' eyes when they have a female customer with them.
  3. ^Ya I realize I might have come across kind of b*tchy, but I find there are some guys who like to try and strrreeeeetch out the time spent 'free' downstairs as much as they can. They'll agree to go downstairs for a dance, so the dancer take them down, leaving all other possibilities of making money upstairs, and then when they sit down they start rubbing us or want us to sit on their lap and "get to know each other" for a song or two. To me, that's not really fair. But it's totally up to each dancer how she wants to spend her time obviously. Like I said, I think it's only fair for dancers to wait until a new song starts before they begin dancing, but some guys make it a game to sit down there longer than that before the dancer technically begins 'charging' him.
  4. Ya, I think in Ottawa, it's pretty much no extended grinding, no touching genitals either way (outside or inside clothing), no licking, sucking, kissing. In Gatineau, more girls break these rules but can still get in trouble if bouncers or managers see, depending on the club they work in. You guys are so lucky- in so many clubs in the States I hear there is no touching at all. When Americans come here they seem to have the time of their life and don't feel the need to whine and moan over not being able to touch the 3 inches between a dancer's legs or use their mouths!!!
  5. I love when guys leave tips, we get anywhere from $5-$40 sometimes and it's very much appreciated. I understand you guys not wanting to tip above the regular dance price, especially if you didn't connect with the dancer at all or enjoy yourself. But a tip is very classy and a way to show your appreciation for our hard work. :)
  6. Honestly, you are licking off a smorgasboard of germs when you suck or lick a dancer's boobs!! :???: I have also NEVER seen or heard of dancers wiping their boobs off at work in my 2-3 years of dancing!! Even the ones who I know let guys lick them and stuff.. Think about it- those boobs are touched by dozens of guys throughout the night, rubbed on the pole and or stage, and touched by the dancer herself.
  7. Ok, I had to respond to this- I have worked at Pigales for a few years and the songs have been timed at 3.5 minutes each for as long as I've worked there! I think this is more than fair to both the girls and customers. You can get $10 'table dances' upstairs for a normal song length if you really hate the 'short songs'! Something one of you said about a girl trying to charge you for talking made me think of the guys who come downstairs and want to stall and 'chat' while the songs are playing and expect to be able to rub our legs or whatever for FREE until they feel 'ready' for us to start dancing. Uh uh.. I don't mind waiting till a fresh song if one is already playing when we get down there, but I feel it's rude of you guys to get mad that we don't want to spend time for free downstairs even if we are 'just talking'. At the same time, I really resent other dancers ripping guys off in the champagne rooms. It happens way too frequently, and it makes us all look bad. If you wanna be super careful, ask the girl after each song or two how many that was, just so you know and if she tries to jack up the prices, leave and you can dispute her for it. If you know you're right and she's lying she will usually back down.. I've heard it happen many times unfortunately. The bouncers are sick of dealing with this handful of girls who constantly have run-ins with clients over the number of dances so they will probably be on your side. They have these triangle boxes semi-installed downstairs that are supposed to track the number of dances done, but I'm not sure why they haven't started using them yet. That might save some headaches and confusion! This is sort of another topic, but some of you seem to think that the short song lengths are what have brought business down. I totally disagree, I think it's the newer trashier dancers who have started working at the club who have brought it down somewhat. There has been a huge increase in girls who are trashy, on drugs, being pimped so they're desparate to make $$, etc. Look around next time and you can probably see a big difference between these girls and the older girls (I mean ones who have been there longer). This brings in more guys expecting to get their dicks rubbed instead of a lap dance, and they are less willing to spend a decent amount of money on dances. I applaud you guys who are calling escorts instead of harrassing dancers in clubs for 'extras'. It is pathetic to see these guys trolling in our club, they have no shame. Whew, ok it felt good to add my 2 cents. :)
