  1. The Hyatt Regency does not require a room key to use the guest elevator. And the lobby is multi-level with plenty of places to meet a guest near the bar, pool table, reception, or wine lounge.

Here's another +1 for LastPass.com. Multi-platform Web based with offline viewing on smartphones.
  3. OutForFun posted info for Canada. If you need to trace the address of a tourist coming in from the US just Google for the-city-they-live-in Tax Assessor's Office. Most US counties have the online listing home owner, when they bought the house, previous owners, etc.
  4. Because the IP addresses in the email are Google's Web servers...because you're posting on the Web through one of Google's Web servers. Real POP and IMAP email clients (Thunderbird, Apple Mail.app, etc.) will usually have your real IP address in the Received: headers. However, if you email someone and link to an image from your own Web server in that email, then you can find out the recipients email address when they click to view the image or Gmail displays the image inline. Which is why I have images turned off by default in Gmail.
  5. Just Googling for their 10-digit phone number is a good start, but also Google for any other identifying info they gave you. Email address. If they sent you a photo (or if you have a photo from one of their online profiles) then Google Reverse Image Search may bring up their other profiles. Click the little photo icon in the Search box at http://images.google.com/ to search by image.
