Finally got a chance to come in this weekend and try a couples nuru massage session with Rose. That was a lot of fun... my wife really enjoyed it. You should go for it! :) The majority of MAs will allow at least light kissing, but not everyone does deep kissing. There's a thread in the discussion forums with some guidelines about this. It depends on the intangibles of chemistry and hygiene too, so do prep on your side too before heading in. I have a soft spot for independent MAs, but a spa wouldn't be a bad place to start either. Brass has beds, whereas my favourite indy just has a massage table. If it was my first time, I'd strongly consider the 90 minute massage/nuru combo at Brass. Nuru is more intense than you expect, if you're the type who's into those kind of sensations. On the other hand, if your main concern is helping with back pain with some fun mixed in, you might be happier with a standard massage. In my experience it's the MAs who have more experience who also tend to have the best traditional massage skills.

I've never been to Vibe, but Brass' location is far more convenient if you're staying or working downtown. It's very close to the Three Brewers Location on Sparks. The decor is a little less fancy than the photos on the Vibe website, but it's nice, and the girls are very friendly.

I had a similar epiphany. I'm nowhere near as experienced as some of the people on this board, but I work an extremely high-stress job, started developing lower back pain, and started going to MAs occasionally as a way to help cope. Then one MA just voluntarily gave me a bodyslide (I didn't ask for it, it was just a nice extra), and at that moment I felt like I was 16 again. It sounds a little corny/lame, but it made a huge, huge difference in my mental state to have someone voluntarily touch me like that. I think we underestimate the importance of touch.

Do you offer couples nuru massage? If you do, would it still be a $40 add-on, or would it be $80? (Both are reasonable... I just thought I'd ask.) Are there particular hostesses you'd suggest for nuru?
