Favourite movies??? Wow....

Foreign: Malena, Amelie, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Leon: The Professional, Talk to Her, Bread and Tulips, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Legend of 1900, City of God,

Comedies: Anything by Kevin Smith (Clerks I & II, Mallrats, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Zack & Miri Make a Porno), Stepbrothers, the Ghost and Mr Chicken, Death at a Funeral (the original not the new one), any and all of the Monty Pythons (Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Meaning of Life, And Now for Something Completely Different...), most Coen Bros... it isn`t really comedy but it is quirky, Harold & Kumar, The Party (Birdy Num Nums), Shaun of the Dead.....

War: Schindlers List, The Pianist, The Longest Day, Joyeux Noel, Breaker Morant, Gallipoli, Downfall, Bridge on the River Kwai, Days of Glory, The Secret of Santa Vittoria, Glory, Kelly`s Heroes

Horror, Thriller: The Others, The Changeling (1979), Ghost Story, The Evil Dead trilogy (not because they are good, because they are campy and who can argue with Bruce Campbell!!!), Haxan, Nosferatu, The Underworld trilogy (not for the movies, Kate Beckinsale in form fitting leather/rubber is DELICIOUS!)

Action/Adventure: All of the Bonds (007), The first 3 Indiana Jones, all of the Tarentinos, Die Hard 1 - 4

Drama: 12 Angry Men, Shawshank, The Green Mile, The Godfather Trilogy, Rebecca, Rear Window, Tess

Holidays: A Christmas Carol (1951 with Alistair Sim), It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story (it's a MAJOR award!!!), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

ohhhh there are more....

Oh man, I've seen Cinema Paradiso and Bread and Tulips about three times each...they're pretty popular films when you're minoring in Italian.
