Cato 160314 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 In case you hadn't noticed, the Best Bums thread has been officially closed. It was the sixth most popular thread in the history of cerb, with the third or fourth highest posting numbers. It was designed to be fun, tasteful, and admiring, and I know it gave lots of pleasure to many members. I just wanted to thank the dozens if not hundreds of members who contributed positively to this thread. These include lots of sp's and MA's and dancers whose opinions I greatly respect. I want to thank all those women who gave me permission and encouragement to post their pictures on this excellent thread, and those members, male and female, who have sent me messages of support and appreciation for the thread over the past year or so. It was all in fun and good taste. As those lax and libertarian Romans used to say, De gustibus non disputandum, there's no arguing about tastes. Perhaps, Babe of the Day, Sunshine Girl,Best Album,Porn,Porn,Porn should all be closed too? I'm just getting caught up reading and not pleased, but who am I to doubt the providers wishes that wanted it closed. Cleo Catra 178382 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 While I had no problem with the best bums thread, which I said in the thread while it was open, I have a problem with this one. The mod decided to delete it, I don't see how opening a new thread to discuss the validity of that decision, or to lament its absence, is doing anything different. Many of the girls did not like that thread. Opening one like this to me just seems like kicking dirt into their faces. It's gone- some may miss it, some may not understand why its gone, but its gone. Not one of the offended ladies was trying to be cruel in her feelings about the thread, just as none of the men who posted were trying to be cruel. Mod's words were he was closing the thread to avoid more negativity in the board and I believe creating confrontation and tension is not the way to go so I will comment no futher and invite SP's to move on and put this whole thing in the past. Absolutely not. I respect people, their privacy, and if I am to use a photo I always request permission. I found the 'best bums' thread offensive and wished to not participate. The thread originally started as fun spirited thread, but times change and the tone of the thread was no longer fun or in the good nature spirit of this board. I understand that some are upset, some pleased and many don't care at all but the thread is closed. Starting a thread about why a thread was closed is not advised.
