I still get asked why so here it is... It has taken us YEARS to build traffic for the Halifax area. The problem is once a city (section) on cerb starts to get busy all these "new directories" try to post free ads to scoop the traffic. Escorts-Canada dishes out an incredible amount of money a year to keep this site up and running so it's not good business to let these new sites that are trying to establish themselves post for free. E.C. Pays for the servers, bandwidth, chat room with video and audio streaming capabilities, my salary and a good chunk of cash for updates, custom script work and advertising. Trust me it adds up... These new sites should have to work just as hard (and pay the same bills) if they want a part of the traffic. Posting links to directories without even PM'ing me to ask about rates for advertising is just not acceptable. So far since Halifax started to get traffic we have had 3 new directories for Halifax (including this latest one with Miss Voyeur) try to do this same thing. If the ladies start to advertise on these (lured by free ad listings at first) they will actually cause themselves problems in the future. The traffic will start to split between popular directories and to get 100% of the traffic they will need to pay for ads on multiple sites (this happens in a lot of cities when competition for the local yellow pages started to multiply... not in many cities you need to pay 3 or more phone book companies for ads to get the same response you use to get from just one) Good news is that usually these sites drop off after a few months (sometimes a year or two) but occasionally they live on. Often they drop off when the owners get board or they realize they need to spend some serious $$ to make the site work (so they give up). Some expect to make money off the ladies right away with ad revenue... that is not the case as you need major traffic from the guys to support such a thing. Anyway... my 2.5 cents worth. Our system is showing that sirsmitty69 logged in today to post this from the same computer as Miss Voyeur so first off this account has been revoked. Second... this is not the way to gain your access back and show me that you are willing to be more ethical in how you conduct yourself. Also... Nothing bad was said. Miss Voyeur broke the rules here, she got suspended for it... I explained why. Plain and simple. I discussed her ban with others from the office here (Before I read this post) and we all decided to suspend her account for 60 days instead of 6 months as I originally was going to do.. but now I log in to read this? Posted from the same computer as Miss Voyeur and I can't let that go so she will not be welcome back in the future at all. Both of these accounts will unfortunately be permanently banned from cerb.
