Dawuid 13 Report post Posted Thursday at 02:59 AM I was hoping to find a place to discuss something general, not specifically about a SP or location. Just to get people talk about their thoughts on how the sex work scene has developed in the recent months/years. I'm not originally from this country but has moved to Nova Scotia for about a decade now. Only started engaging in this scene at the start of Covid. Browsing through fourms like this, for Nova Scotia specifically; It seems like the only major developments were the closure of some locations (a korean shop?) that used to provide massage/striping; beside that it's just individual SP who either lives here or travels here, sometimes agencies but never local. In genral, kinda dry and not a lot of options. I don't really know where I'm going with this. Just hoping to hear people's thoughts on how this scene/industry/activity? is going, considering the current economic, political and demographic landscape of Nova Scotia. (or really mostly Halifax let's be honest) It would be really neat if there's a TG/Discord/Whatsapp type of communities where people can just chat about these sort of things, but I understand why people may avoid such things as well, for obvious reason... BenDover 290 Report post Posted 21 hours ago very low key scene here. i’ve been doing it almost 20 years and it definitely used to be better. that korean massage place has been gone a Long time , ancient history. no agencies. a girl used to run one from her house that was excellent , that’s gone. everything online is 90% scams , and there are a handful of known local regulars but not much new blood. i think it will take a downturn in the economy for more women to look at ‘alternate ‘ income honestly i think there would be more women starting up if they were aware that the scene even exists … can somebody do a billboard or facebook ad for new SPs?? 1
Coco1 70 Report post Posted 17 hours ago I will echo BD's response on the local scene. I started around 2005 and was active up until I got moved to the west coast for work in 2012. I returned here again in 2022. I have noticed things have really fallen off since my first stint in the local scene. As mentioned above there was a great Korean option that ran for several years in addition there was a Chinese massage operation that worked out of several different homes in Halifax. The girls were almost all young, cute university students. Those were the days! I think they closed up shop for good in 2011/12. They always operated in residential areas so I imagine they probably got heat from neighbours or LE. Also LL and its fake ads didn't exist back then. Backpage was the advertising means for the girls and it was mostly legit. You could even find decent reliable girls in the classified ads section of the CH back then lol. So to answer the OP's question what you see today pales in comparison to what things were like in the early 2000's. Things have been moving in the wrong direction for a couple decades now. MikeyInHalifax 282 Report post Posted 16 hours ago There have been a few new faces. Only one or two new locals though. Mostly travelling ladies and new YFL additions. The LL scams are really pretty discouraging though. Unfortunately there really aren't many alternatives. I've checked out Locanto and it looks like a cesspool. While the outlook is grim for hobbyists, it only makes it more important for members to write reviews for ladies they've seen. Stop hoarding if you know of a girl that's great to visit. You're only hurting the industry
