Facebook or twitter for advertising?

Recommended Posts

Here is a question for y'all to answer. Is twitter and facebook a great way of advertising? Would you say it's worth the hassle? Let me know what you guys think about these social ways of advertising. I'm not quite sure. Do you gentlemen enjoy going to some of the ladies facebook page or twitter page? I don't think I would ever use these venues. I am super social on cerb but this is a very welcoming and open community for escorts and clients. What I say stays in the community, we have different views and we disagree with each other but we are all here for the same reason and for the most part we respect each other. I'm just not sure how these sites would work for escorts. It may cause good reactions or unwelcomed opinions from people who do not enjoy being part of this hobby. For someone who is spectacle about these advertising venues and has little information about these sites for advertising it seems like a risk. I just would find it interesting to hear your views on this subject.

I see using twitter as a link to your advertising. Rather then have to check your twitter account or be inundated with updates, just have a link to your main form of advertising.

I am on twitter but just use it to follow some of the folk I have or hope to meet from here. Twitter seems more like friends connecting or staying in touch. In a random fashion for me.

If I need some Peachy news then I would usually come here but I really should be getting it directly from the source.

I find twitter to be a great marketing tool. I've had people book me simply because of things I've tweeted. It gives you a chance to showcase a different side of your personality than a website or ad does.

I keep my twitter strictly Kylie related. All travel, etc is Kylie related. Anything in my personal life remains personal. But that's just me.

I can't speak for facebook since I don't have it, but twitter is a fun little venue and a free way to showcase your personality and thoughts.

I think twitter is a quite useful tool to keep your regulars up to date and give something special as far as advance notice on things to your followers. I find it handy and useful. It lets people feel like they know you a little more personally, and give you a chance to interact with potential clients and regulars.

Facebook, on the other hand, may not be a well advised marketing tool in this line of work. While it is very popular, it can be potentially discouraging for people to sign up and follow on their actual accounts. Unless they have a handle account separate from their actual account (or don't give a crap who knows their activities), it's not likely they'll friend the account.

There are quite a few CERBies on Twitter, using it for a variety of different purposes. It's a great way to interact on a casual basis (but remember, it's public). Some ladies log in occasionally, some seem to be on there all the time. Some keep tweets strictly to advertising, some tweet about all sorts of things. It's a bit like CERB in that respect - it is what you make of it.

Facebook, I don't know about. I also don't know what FB's policy towards anything adult-oriented would be, but I suspect it'd be... hostile. And you'd be relying on us guys setting up FB accounts for our alter egos to make it worthwhile for advertizing purposes....

I'm on Twitter more and more and definately see the utility...personally I find it much easier to interact with the ladies on Twitter. More social and less chance for controversy with 140 characters I find.

Peace

I think Peachy for marketing value and discretion purposes twitter is the best venue to stay in touch with your regulars, letting them know instantly of availabilities or specials or what you're having for lunch for that matter. I've had a twitter account for the last 3 years but only started using it to promote the diary and interact with sexy ladies and fellow cerbies. Try twitter I think you'll find it's a unique way to promote and interact! I'll follow you and you can follow me @cowboykenny :)

Hi Peachy! I use twitter to tweet articles I've been reading sometimes and to have conversations with other escorts and friends. Granted there's a bit of a staccato nature to the conversations but it keeps them light and fun.

You can also link twitter to your website and CERB profile. That way even people who aren't on twitter can see what you've written or shared. I've had people in the past take a special interest in me because of articles I've shared, and I know a lot of girls use it to post their availability which must help with bookings, too. Some also use it to shared candid photos, which is fun. :)

I'm not on too often so I don't find it's too much of a hassle to maintain. I think you would like it. But I wouldn't bother with facebook for the reasons others have mentioned.

I just wanted to thank everyone for participating on this thread. So what I get from this is that twitter is a great way of advertising, it's fun, free and easy. What's a girl not to love about that. I guess facebook is really not a good way of advertising. It's for personal use and that's it. It's too complicated to use for both the escorts and clients. Thanks for sharing ladies and gentlemen. I'm not sure if I will use these sites to advertise. I'm just curious about these new to me advertising venues.
