Ann Gallerie 7910 Report post Posted May 13, 2014 I recently picked up unscented body lotion from Life Brand, specifically for massage. The formula might have started out unscented, but the base notes and some leaching from the plastic bottle made it dreadful - serious headbanger smells. Some Clarins tube type cosmetics do the same thing. One solution is to use up some, and then put in some regular water, and a few squirts of Febreze, shaking vigorously. In some cases it might take a couple of tries. The Febreze ingredient actually helps to adsorb and mask the odour. It leaves little behind. May I suggest starting out with a light oil ....Purrrhaps Pennzoil brand 5w20 Then work your way up to a little bit heavier and maybe pricier oil... Mobil brand 5w30 It's Super ! And to wrap er up .... finish off with the sweet scented, top of the line heavy duty oil .... Valvoline brand fully synthetic 10w30 :) Yeah baby. Slip slide and away !!! When I am giving massage, I truly love to mix lotions with oils...For some reason, I find it lasts longer and if mixed correctly it lends to much nicer strokes. There is no mess as it is easily soaked into the skin. I love essential oils, I use them with a carrier oil such as JoJoba or Sweet Almond and add a few drops to a bottle with lotion in it and voila! Powder was very common years ago, but I haven't seen it lately :-). Oddly, I have had two massages without oil at all (or powder) recently and they were not memorable. My favourite massage was with a custom blended oil which was so subtle and light that just the aroma was a turn on for me. The therapist explained the ingredients which which she bought separately and blended. I never shower afterwards since it would remove the exotic smell which reminds me of an wonderful experience. They allow the skin to breathe with healing properties that are highly beneficial. What I like about these oils is they can be customized with a few drops of a natural aromatherapy scent if requested. I have two types of coconut oil. One is in my kitchen to add to smoothies and to condition my hair and skin. I love the tropical scent. The other is unscented for massage purposes only. 50goingon30 100 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 Two months ago on the advice of a Ottawa region Tantress, I tried pure raw coconut oil, which they descent by processing it with hot water only. Can be purchased at health food stores. It will be solidified in the jar, you have to heat it ...then you have a all natural, zero chemical, tasteless warm oil. Descented or natural, I have seen the product that stays in a liquid oil, or food grade (edible) which I have used. Is semi solid> Best all around so far for general massage and stays fairly slippery for the body slide gang !! best of all you don't have to go to Cuba to get it !! Since my ex was using rub parlors and escort services, and strip bars after many years of trying to catch him , I learned a few things ,he came home one time smelling like some old cheap avon perfume so of course I asked ... So who was she. Ect ect so a friend of mine (male) told me that for all married man they like unsented products so they don't carry the smell in the car or on there clothes , but for you married man out there.
